Seafront hotel with a view
The Riva Hotel is a whitewashed, boutique-style property with a gem of a location. It’s right on the seafront promenade in Petrovac, putting you just metres from a pretty sand-and-shingle beach and a selection of wine bars, tavernas and cafés. The hotel doesn’t have a pool, but you’re only footsteps from the waves when you fancy a dip.
The hotel’s interiors are chic and contemporary. Rooms are done out in shades of nude and mocha, with padded headboards that stretch to the ceiling, marble bathrooms and in-room facilities that include flatscreen TVs and minibars.
If you fancy eating in, the hotel’s on-site restaurant cooks up a great selection of Mediterranean seafood, including some highly rated Italian dishes and local specialities. For dinner with a sea view, head out to the al fresco terrace – it’s suitably mood-lit and in earshot of the waves. The hotel also brags its own café-bar, which serves hot and cold drinks, and has an impressive wine and cocktail list.
