A central Rome gem
Hotel Valadier is set on a cobblestone street, so you’ll really feel like you’re in historic Rome in this central neighbourhood. It’s super close to Piazza del Popolo, where you’ll find the city's oldest obelisk, but walk ten minutes in the other direction and you’ll hit Piazza di Spagna, where you’ll find the Spanish Steps.
So, the location gets two thumbs up. But that’s not the only thing Valadier has going for it. There are four restaurants here, including a rooftop restaurant with views of the Piazza del Popolo that’s a real gem. Another favourite is the sophisticated 1930s-style bar that plays jazz until the small hours. You could also pop into the piano bar – dancing, playing, and singing are all encouraged!
The bijou rooms are modestly sized but thoughtfully designed to maximise the nooks and crannies. For more space, consider upgrading to a Deluxe or Executive room. But look, you’ve got Rome on the doorstep and plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you out and about for hours on end. So does size really matter?
