Diana Roof Garden

"We stayed at the Hotel Diana at the end of October, I was with my girlfriends. The hotel is in a good location for the main train/bus station (Termini) The hotel is in an area surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes etc We did eat in Amodei across the road from the hotel 3 times out of the 4 days we were there 👌 All staff we spoke to were all very nice, friendly and had good customer care. Our double room on the 4th floor was a good size and I loved the big bathroom which had a bath/shower and plenty of space to put your toiletries, however there was a slight smell of sewage when you first entered the room ( we didn't report this to the reception staff) We had air con too. Our room was cleaned daily, we had a fridge and the water was replenished daily. At 9am, most mornings we did hear some banging, assuming some of the rooms were getting a refurbishment. Our friends had a room on the 3rd floor and that had been refurbished and was more modern looking. Breakfast was continental and was adequate, usual stuff like yoghurts, fruit, cereals, fruit juice, breads, eggs, cold meats, cheese etc I'd have preferred another toasting machine, I only seen one. If the weather was hotter it would have been nice to eat breakfast on the roof garden. We were given vouchers for 1 free drink on the roof bar, that was a nice touch. I'd recommend the Hotel Diana for a trip to Rome, it's very central for everything. The positives out way the sewage smell and refurbishment noise, we were out sightseeing all day and only slept there."

"I booked months in advance for a queen bed for myself and my partner. When we arrived, the receptionist insisted I had booked a single room. I showed her my confirmation stating a queen bed, but she bluntly repeated that it was a single and said there would be an additional €85 per night including tax because my partner was staying — even though it was the same room, same dates, and same amenities. This is the fifth hotel I’ve stayed at during my trip, and it’s the only one that’s tried to charge me based on the number of people rather than the room itself. Nothing in my booking mentioned per-person pricing, and this extra cost (around $700 AUD) felt unreasonable and misleading. We were told we’d been given a “nice room” with a complimentary minibar, but it turned out to be average at best and the minibar contained water and a soda items usual complimentary anyway. To make matters worse, we had to call reception late at night because of loud guests next door. In general the room was noisy not insulated from the street noise. Overall, poor transparency, unhelpful service, and disappointing value for money. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it."

"My husband and I stayed here for a 3 night break, we found a Lovely hotel very elegantly presented, the rooms were beautifully clean and well presented with a free soft drinks mini bar set up and a welcome drink of our choice eat on the terrace on the first night of our stay. Check in was great very efficient shout out to Daniel who was very friendly and advised us that our room would be available in 40 minutes (this was hours ahead of our expected check-in time so that was such a pleasant surprise) he also offered to store our luggage if we wished to head straight out, we chose to wait and we were told to help our self the the free coffee and cake laid out. Lovely stay rooms kept beautifully clean every day. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice and fresh orange juice lively coffee from bean to cup machine, pastry’s and some continental and cooked options. We didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner but did sit on the roof top terrace which has wonderful views. Would also like to Thank Daniel (reception)for all his help and assistance with a problem we had with our booked taxi service to the airport (booked privately not through hotel). He tried to resolve the problem with the taxi driver when this was evidently not going to happen he quickly organised us another taxi and got us to the airport on time! He’s a credit to Diana Hotel thanks again Daniel. Hotel only 20-30 mins walk away from most historical spots."
