"They promote themselves as a four star hotel, but I would disagree. There were two big dead bugs on the floor of my room during my entire stay, even though housekeeping accessed the room. No coffee or tea provided in the room, nor was it self serve downstairs. You had to wait until 7:30 a.m. and then ask for it and hope it was prepared the way you asked. The dining room is lovely, but full of flies. We tried to have dinner there, but couldn't because flies were crawling all over my husbands head, shirt and face! When we informed the staff we were going to have to leave she got really rude and nasty about it. On top of that, let me add that a bowl of very simple pasta, with nothing else, was $30!!"

"Hotel was exactly as the pictures showed it, so knew what to expect. Extremely clean and tidy, continental breakfast had a good selection and delicious Coffee as you would expect. Very friendly staff and room made up on a daily basis. You couldn’t expect a better location for the Tower, with plenty of places to explore on foot. Numerous places to eat right on your doorstep. Train station only a 10 min stroll away and would thoroughly recommend a trip to Lucca for a day out Only reason I gave it 4 stars as the double room was two single beds pushed together and although not going away to watch Tv it’s nice to have something to watch of an evening and had no English channels but not a major issue"

"We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. Special mention to Ony on the reception at night. This guy was amazing. He was such a bright ray of sunshine and made us so welcome. Hotel is old worlde, but spotlessly clean, continental basic breakfast but enough choice and good coffee. Only 100 yds from the leaning tower but the crowds don't come this far. A sortcwalk from the Stazione Pisa Rossare which means you don't have to go as far as the central station. A good base for further exploration of the area."
