"Wow! what can I say, reading the positive reviews other guests have had a very different experience to ours. we were greeted by a receptionist who whizzed through the directions/layout of the hotel, we left reception and carried the cases up to a higher section of the hotel (I would have thought there may be a porter/service to assist) this wasn't offered. I must admit I was happy with the room, it was updated although the walls were grubby but it was kept to a high cleanliness standard by the very polite and friendly maids, so thanks to them. we decided on the first evening to try the buffet for EUR25.00 per person. we went to the bar and purchased some wine, realised the "canteen" was full apart from 2 seats in-front of the entrance/exit so we asked the staff member standing to greet if it was OK to sit at a table in the bar area next to the "canteen" which he replied yes, we placed our drinks and bag/coats etc and proceeded to the buffet. we were then intercepted by a tall very unfriendly member of the floor staff and rudely told/instructed to sit at the 2 seats available. we had to then move our drinks etc and sat where we were instructed. the rest of the holiday the same member of the floor team was extremely rude to us and insisted on giving myself and partner dirty looks every breakfast time. I asked him for some fresh scrambled egg as he was about to change it over and all I received was a point and a grunt and he slammed the lid down showing me where to balance it. that leads me on to breakfast, powdered scrambled eggs, hot-dogs, soggy hash brown, tomato (which were actually quite nice) beans with no flavour, bacon "I use the word very lightly" that resembled something Ed Gein would make a lampshade from, that was the "supposed" hot food (always cold) processed meat and cheese slices, fruit which had day old fruit at the bottom of the dish, yogurt, cereal and various jams and pastry which were dry and had no taste. I must admit however the bread was very tasty but, I was unable to last the morning just on bread so we opted to visit the local Delhi at the bottom of the hill and purchased some delicious meats and cheeses for a great price. we did ask if we could possibly have 2x plates and a knife & fork for the room, we were given them from another very grumpy female member of staff with yet another grunt and a nod! I started to wonder if our apparent reputation had proceeded us at this point. I was going to ask for 2 cups for the room for our coffee rather than the paper cups you are provided with and arent replenished "had to clean them in the bathroom sink" but I thought that I better not push my luck. we made a call to the hotel reception to ask if they had an iron we could borrow, they replied yes and it was a EUR50.00 deposit for maximum 3 hours, my other half went down to collect the iron and come back with a small hand steamer which didn't do the job believe me, he returned it straight away and asked if they had an iron and was accosted by 3x members of female reception staff stating ""this is an iron"" and then they told him on the phone apparently no less than 3 times it was a steamer, I can guarantee this was not the case, the reception manager was also there and allowed this kind of behaviour towards a customer, so he left the steamer there and we went to a local electrical store and purchased an iron "moral of the story, take an iron". Anna may I add was extremely helpful. when we checked out early one of the female accost-ees did ask was there a reason we were checking out early, I explained that some of reception and "canteen" staff were very rude but Id take it up on trip advisor. evening entertainment was cool, the acts were all really friendly and professional although we did only stay for an hour or so as we went out for food/drinks. the lady behind the bar "I wish I had got her name"was lovely, really polite and helpful. one thing to be aware of, she poured me 2x glasses of white wine from a fresh bottle (unopened) and both glasses had flies in, the bottle must have been contaminated so she opened a new bottle which was fine. Positives, the views are lovely and the rooms are clean, unfortunately not much more than that."
