Sitting pretty on the coast near the sleepy resort of Kiotari, Boutique 5 Hotel and Spa is an elegant and luxurious adults-only retreat perfect for a spot of peace and quiet. Perched overlooking the sea, this place has got a front row seat to the sparkling Mediterranean. Venture across the road to the sand and pebble beach and you can even dip your toes in it. Back at the hotel, the focus is firmly on wellness and relaxation – from the spa with its steam room and indulgent list of treatments, to the regular yoga classes and the small-but-perfectly-formed gym. The outdoor infinity-style pool eyes the sea, and is fringed with comfy sun loungers perfect for catching a few rays.

Each morning an American-style buffet breakfast is served poolside, to make the most of that morning sunshine. Dinner is distinctly Greek and Mediterranean in flavour, and served à la carte with a side of live music that makes for a great atmosphere. The pool bar meanwhile, serves up relaxed refreshments by day, and moonlights as a chic cocktail bar with signature drinks prepared by the expert mixologists.

If civilisation calls, Kiotari town is about a 30-minute walk along the coast, and the route is dotted with restaurants and cafés that are perfect for grabbing a coffee and watching the world go by. There are plenty of bars in town, too, for a relaxed evening drink. If you don’t fancy the walk home, a taxi back to the hotel takes less than 10 minutes.
