"One word - OUTSTANDING!!! This was the second time we visited this hotel - the first time was in May 2024 and this is the first time I have returned to the same hotel. I am an extensive traveller and have been to lots of nice hotels but this hotel has it all in my opinion. We honestly could not fault anything about itl! The hotel itself is beautiful, in a village style set high on the mountain with THE most amazing views but to save your legs, there is a wonderful little shuttle bus with a friendly driver that spends its day driving up and down the hill, picking people up and dropping them off. The bus goes down to reception but if you stay on it, it will take you the 5 min drive to the beach where there are an array of shops too. At the beach, there is a lovely beach bar restaurant, we didn't try it but heard it was nice. The beach is quite shingly and beach shoes help walking into the sea as there are flat rocks in parts. Cabanas and sunloungers are available.
Staff - I have to mention the staff first of all. Everyone was so friendly and so willing to help. The first time I visited in May 2024, it was just me and my 21yr old daughter. We came for her 21st birthday but she became suddenly unwell on the flight over to Rhodes and ended up in hospital overnight which was awful. The staff at the hotel were so incredibly kind to me (I was on my own when she was in hospital as I couldn't stay with her.) and were so supportive. A special mention to the minibus driver Artsi who was so kind and always asked how my daughter was and it was always nice to chat to him on the journey up and down the hill when I got back from the hospital. She recovered quickly from dehydration and we were soon back enjoying the holiday. The recent visit in October was with my husband and he was blown away by the kindness of the staff and how friendly everyone was. Thank you to all the staff at Esperos Village, you are all amazing!
Rooms - We stayed in the Belvedere Suite this time and last time, we stayed in the Skyline room. Both absolutely outstanding and with their own private pools. The Belvedere suite was something else. It really has the wow factor. The heated pool was absolutely beautiful and you woke to a glorious sunrise and then had the the sun on the terrace for most of the day until about 3.300-4pm (Mid October). You have the most wonderful views of the Mediterranean sea. The suite was stunning, with walk in wardrobe, am amazing bathroom area and the shower has a full length window view of the pool and sea. What a sight to see when you are showering! The room was cleaned twice a day and was spotlessly clean, fresh towels also and towels for the pool. Not forgetting the robes/slippers provided, hairdryer, all toiletries and a tall speaker to link your phones too for music. Huge comfortable bed too. You can also order a floating breakfast in your private pool for an extra cost.
Restaurants - Two restaurants in the main building - both self serve buffet style for breakfast and evening meal but a fabulous choice of food and so fresh. The views from the restaurants are amazing. They don't serve wine by the glass but they do half bottles in rose, red and white which were very reasonable. Desserts are really nice but limited if you have a nut allergy like my husband has as everything seems to have nuts in Greece! There is also a Mediterranean restaurant just outside the reception which is an additional cost, its beautiful and you get a supplement of 15 euro each towards the bill of you are half board. There is also the Burger house (which is the same place as the Mediterranean restaurant) but one visit is included in the half board option during your stay. You get all the starters, choice of a burger (chicken burger was incredible) and you get all the desserts too. Stunning and again, views are amazing!
Pools - There are many pools around the village, outside the different rooms and then there is the main infinity pool which is stunning. Sun loungers are like beds, so thick and comfortable and the parasols have a little buzzer on it to call for any food or drinks you want. I found the prices of drinks very reasonable and the Aperol Spritx were delicious as well as the Strawberry Daquaris. The pool areas are spotless as are the pools themselves. We spend one day at the main pool as we had our own pool in the room but I wouldn't hesitate in booking a room without a pool as al the pools are fab.
Entertainment - Mostly singers there during the time we were there and one amazing lady that played the electric guitar. All the songs she played were modern music and all recognizable. She was outstanding so don't miss her if she is there when you stay. Lovely chilled longue area with piano bar. Pool table which we used a few times. Well maintained.
Spa -There is a Spa at the hotel offering various treatments, but I haven't visited so cant comment but I am hoping too on future visits.
Gym -There is a nice sized gym at the top floor of the hotel which I didn't visit but just to let you know its there.
Also we couldnt get a late checkout but could out our bags in the luggage room and then booked a courtesy shower room to freshen up before our departure. The room was very clean with a well stocked pile of fresh towels.
Local area - As mentioned, there is a beach which you can get to with the hotel mini bus, takes 5 mins. There are an array of shops near the beach too which was nice to browse around. The main bus stop for getting around Rhodes is at the bottom of the hill where the minibus drops you off. The buses into Rhodes town are about 5 euro each way but the buses do get full. We couldn't get on two buses so went across the road to hire a little car and got a great deal from George at Car Rental Faliraki - he was so helpful and informative about parking etc. We had great fun exploring Rhodes town in a little Fiat 500 with a soft top for 45 euro for the day. Rhodes town is well worth a visit and very historic with loads of lovely shops and restaurants.
There is also Waterpark Faliraki right next door to the hotel I didn't visit this time but I am coming back next year and plan to visit. The reviews on the website look great.
I could go on and on about this hotel - and I have told all my friends and family how wonderful it is.
Overall, a very classy, beautiful, well maintained hotel, fantastic food, amazing rooms, pool and facilities and the most amazing staff!! I am coming back again next year and cant wait"
