Akti Coast Club Hotel

"We stayed here for a last minute week with our boys and we had a ball. We upgraded the room to a family room with two rooms however the air con proved to be an issue and so reception upgraded us to a private pool suite which was beautiful. Similar room to before but with a sliding door, glass balcony and a private shared pool on the ground level. Location is quiet - not much around but bus to Kos Town if you want a day out. If you leave back of hotel and turn right - more that way than if you turn left! Entertainment team were fab, very hard working, good family atmosphere and a variety of things during day. There are a number of pools ( cold in Oct) but good choice. Beach was nice but lots of bugs, we didn’t last long here. Restaurant - you were always greeted when entering and leaving, lots of choice. Inside and outside seating. Greek restaurant and Italian were bookmarks through app - Italian defo better but both run on a routine that they serve all tables dishes at same time. We found Italian lovely but we were over an hour for all dishes which is hard when entertaining two young kids. We did go to buffet and bring them food through so they weren’t waiting. All staff - reception, bar, restaurant, entertainment, cleaners - all sooo friendly! One of the best hotels for being so polite and chatty to us throughout and to our kids too! Big Play park for kids and wee playhouses, football fields too and tennis courts. The wee buggies that drive you about to your room etc were fantastic and the staff who do this were incredible. Full of chat and acknowledgement everytime they saw you again. So lovely! We had a fab week despite the thunder storms throughout! Highly recommend. We miss you already!"

"Clean, nice rooms We had a swim up one, we loved it. Not a lot around in the area but got a bus into kos town very easily. Premium drinks are available The only negative is the food is not the best, which is a shame as if better would be perfect"

"Just returned from a 7 night stay with our 18 month old. On arrival we were told we were upgraded to a pool room which I was slightly apprehensive about for safety reasons with a young baby, but it worked out ok. Drinks wise for a non alcohol drinker the choices were disappointing, non alcoholic cocktails were 3 kids ones. Food wise we really struggled, the options were almost the same daily at all meal times, the bread and cereal were often stale! The snack bar was the same all week with gyros and burgers that weren’t overly appealing! The Italian restaurant was a let down, a set menu with some odd choices, the Greek was better but still wasn’t great, we had hopes of walking out for meals at night but with the nearest place being 15 min walk and not much going on we didn’t rush back. Bus to Kos town was well worth it was plently to do! We briefly went to the beach by the hotel but with the pool being so close we mainly used this. For kids the hotel is good, the splash pool was fab and the mini disco each night but I’m not sure I’d rush back if I didn’t have kids! We had no issues with cleanliness in the room, always tidied up/fresh towels etc but did smell of bleach each day! The shop on site is extremely expensive, we did buy some water from here and paid a lot! There is a safe in each room with a key lock which is good and a fridge. Pool towels are also provided. It depends what you want, we got what we paid for, we enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t come back to the hotel and wouldn’t reccomend it!"
