Acrotel Athena Residence

"We have just returned home from the most amazing holiday at the Athena Residence in Halkidiki! We only booked our holiday two weeks ago because we had to cancel our original booking to Dorset in the uk due to our daughter needing surgery. We wanted to spend some time relaxing in the sunshine and WOW it was exactly that here at this hotel! On arrival we were offered a welcome drink then taken to our maisonette/ mini villa by golf cart which was a lot of fun, my three daughters loved this. As we had a late arrival there were beautifully presented sandwiches and mini deserts along with drinks, such a lovely touch! We then checked out our view outside the patio doors and all I can say is wow! Wow! Our holiday was so peaceful as the place was very calming, staff were on hand all of the time and did everything they could to ensure you had the most wonderful stay. Joanna who worked in our pool bar was a complete gem! She really looked after us and the girls were supper excited to see her everyday. On day one she went through everything we needed to know whilst we drank a coffee by the pool and the children played. We booked a private boat trip which my 11 year old said was the best experience of her life. The team also helped with a car rental for getting out and about. They really went above and beyond. Sadly our holiday had to come to an end but we have already looked to book again. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like there Is any availability but I’m hoping it’s only because those dates have not been released yet. Fingers crossed!"

"It's not a bad hotel, definitely not a 5-star hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was poor. The staff was not bad, but almost missing. No one cares about the beach or the pool. Nobody cleans the pool area. At least you can't see the difference from the day before. The water in the pool was very clear. It was strange that about a room for 4 people, you are allowed to use only two sunbeds. The Lemoni restaurant was very nice. Otherwise, everything is calm and easy, and we had a wonderful vacation."

"We booked a year ago and the place, staff and food lived up to all expectations. Being in the industry for 30 years I’m a stickler for standards , I honestly couldn’t fault our experience. The staff so helpful, welcoming and happy, the food completely delicious and a broad range. The accommodation perfect, immaculately clean, everything you need , even your own sun loungers for you by the pool. A special thank you to Tommy and staff in the kids club, you were brilliant and gave us a couple of hours break everyday. Dorela on customer relations nothing was too much effort and you had a lovely manner. Tarieli in Limoni was just a joy, made us feel so welcome and provide great service throughout the holiday with the help of his team. Two last people Maria & Joanna in the pool bars , just great friendly service and you made our stay memorable. Thank you to all the staff you are a credit to the hotel . We will recommend and may come back in the future."
