Where rugged cliffs meet refined serenity
Regal is the word that comes to mind at Daios Cove – a sanctuary seemingly grown from the hillside itself, overlooking the impossibly blue Aegean Sea. Here, contrasts reign beautifully: rugged cliffside meets quietly sophisticated architecture, crisp white loungers lead you to the cove’s azure embrace, and days flow effortlessly between lazy poolside lounging and invigorating fitness sessions.
The beach is a secluded haven; the cove, your private playground. The spa is an all-encompassing sanctuary, offering wellness experiences that linger long after you leave.
Whether you’re a couple seeking romantic escape, a family craving laid-back luxury, or a wellness devotee hungry for holistic rejuvenation, Daios Cove promises an experience both effortlessly elegant and vibrantly alive – where every moment feels thoughtfully crafted just for you.

Hotel highlights
Contemporary, sophisticated, and dangerously moreish – that’s our take on the foodie scene at Daios Cove. Expect menus packed with Mediterranean influence, seafood fresh off the boat, and dishes you’ll be dreaming about long after the plates have been cleared.
From fine dining at Ocean Restaurant to the unpretentious offering at The Beach House, whether you’re in the mood for haute cuisine or comfort food, you’ll find it here. Crystal Box – with its menu of signature sips courtesy of the expert mixologist team – might have the best views in the house, thanks to its sea-framing floor-to-ceiling windows. And for lazy lie-ins and midnight munchies, room service is available ‘round the clock.
The spa might be what put this place on the map – and for good reason. Not just about massages and facials – though they’re in plentiful supply – but about top-to-toe wellness. Ultimate Indulgence is a fitting name for one of our favourite treatments – a full-body exfoliation, a customised massage, and a tailored facial. You’ll feel like a whole new person.
Dive deeper into the High-Tech Healing on offer, and you’ll discover the likes of cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and even vitamin infusions to boost your energy levels. There’s an infrared sauna, too, plus a steam room, leisure pool, and a thermal bathing suite that ticks off Finnish and soft saunas, a shower walk, and a vitality pool with neck and back massage jets. That’s a whole lot of wellness under one roof.
Please note spa and wellness facilities are accessible for guests aged 16+ only.
You’ll never be short on something to do here – unless of course, that’s the plan. Kick off your morning with a BXR London workout – world-class coaches, serious endorphins – or find your flow with a zen-like yoga or Pilates session. If you’d rather rally or roam, grab a racket and head for the tennis courts, or snag a pedalo and discover the coastline.
Not every adventure calls for activewear, of course. Think life’s simple pleasures, but elevated: cookery classes, cocktail workshops, and wine tastings – all about keeping things deliciously hands-on. As night falls, the mood shifts. DJs and live musicians set the soundtrack with Latin, funk, soul, and jazz – plus a hint of homegrown rhythm – under the stars.
Daios Cove really feels tailored for families – from the dedicated children’s menus in the restaurants to the kids’ club run in line with UK guidelines. This is about peace of mind – for you and for your little ones.
Tots from four months to four years are taken care of at the creche club, with two sessions daily to give you a well-earned break – best spent soaking up the sun or seeking out a spa treatment if you ask us. The kids’ club takes over until they hit the tweens, and then it’s over to the games room where they can flex their billiards skills or kick off their own table tennis competition.
Crete is an absolute treasure trove of history and culture, and it lies just beyond the threshold. Dip your toe into nearby Aghios Nikolaos and you’ll find the former fishing village buzzes with shopping and dining by day, and lively entertainment after dark. For a dash of culture with your souvenir and souvlaki hunt, visit the beautifully preserved Byzantine chapel of St Nicholas, standing for over a millennium.
Knossos is a must-see, too – history-buff or not. This Minoan palace, once King Minos’s seat, is one of Greece’s best preserved sights, and the birthplace of many a Greek myth, including Icarus and Daedalus.
All of this – and more – will be right at your fingertips. Hire a car and forge your own path around the island, or elevate your experience with private tour guides and chauffeurs – either way the guest services team will be on hand to help you plan the perfect day.
The heated infinity pool perched above the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. You’d be hard pushed to find us anywhere else on those long, sunlit afternoons.
The beach. A crescent of honey-hued sands that shelves into the calm waters of this secluded cove. Perfect for little ones taking their first steps into the sea.
The Daios Cove app – your one-stop shop for restaurant bookings and useful info. Download before you go and start counting down those days.
That this place has its own funicular. Or rather, three of its own funiculars to ferry you up and down the hill to the beach. Club cars whizz around the resort, too, so don’t be afraid to pack less-than-light when heading for the sand. An extra book, a bucket and spade, pack the lot.
