Hotel Rochechouart - Orso Hotels

"There are much better four-star hotels in Paris. Rooms and bathrooms are small and dark. I had to use a flashlight to see what was in the wardrobe. This was exacerbated by not being able to fully open the wardrobe door, which was partially blocked by the bedside table. The thermostat temperature seemed to be centrally controlled and we opened the window most nights to sleep comfortably. Pillows were flat, small and oddly mixed. We had to request supportive pillows, which were much better. We also requested an additional blanket because the duvet was very thin. The bathroom had a single pedestal vanity with the toilet immediately behind, so only one person at a time in the bathroom. Shower water splashed on the bathroom floor so we used our bath towels to mop it up after showering. I don’t know what’s going on with Marriott, but it seems they have a brand to sell any hotel owner. This hotel does not follow Marriott room standards, so if you’re expecting their usual four-Star guest comfort and consistency, you won’t find it here. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel owner and Marriott need to step up."

"We visited Paris to celebrate the life of my partner’s Mum, whom we lost this year. She adored Paris and all things French. How she would have loved this hotel! It was perfect. We had a cosy room with a balcony and view of Sacre Coeur. The shower was lovely and our bed super comfy. We had a sweet note and plate of madeleine’s to welcome us. ❤️ We ate at Maggie restaurant/bar downstairs, lovely food and service. The rooftop bar is a must. Incredible views from a stylish setting. A truly special experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you."
