"We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Nice Port St. Laurent by IHG from 10–12 August and were entirely disappointed with the hotel amenities and misleading information provided. Your partner booking platform clearly advertised that the property offered both a swimming pool and a private beach. Despite the high summer rates and the hotel’s distance from Nice city centre, we specifically chose this property for a resort-style experience. Upon check-in, we were informed there was no swimming pool at all. Instead, reception advised us that access to a “private beach” was available. The following morning, at 9:30 am, we reconfirmed with reception and were told that this was arranged through an external partner, Playamesa, and required advance booking (plus additional costs) during peak season. When we arrived before 10 am, the beach was already fully booked. As a result, we were left without access to either a pool or a private beach and had to use a public beach instead—something we would never have chosen had the amenities been accurately described. We attempted to resolve this with evidence through your booking partner. After a month of follow-up, they reported that your hotel has yet to respond. However, I noted that they have already corrected the advertising information. This reflects a serious issue of business integrity and unacceptable disregard for customer concerns."

"This was initially called a “Holiday Inn Resort” – they had to drop the “Resort” part because there were no resort facilities. In the right room category, the rooms are spacious with a balcony and great views of the sea and coastline. Beyond that it’s really a Holiday Inn Express. (Indeed, some HI Express have better facilities) They closed the bar over a year ago and after breakfast you can’t even get a cup of coffee or soft drinks – not even via a vending machine! For drinks or dinner, you must go offsite. Less than 5 minutes away there are tons of restaurants on the promenade. So if your idea of ending the day is a nightcap on your balcony – it won’t happen here. There’s an, unstocked, mini bar in the room but it can’t be stocked even on request. Room service from a tiny and pathetic room service menu does, allegedly, exist, but getting it is down to pure chance and it may not arrive at all. In the evening there is often only two people on duty and one of those is the airport shuttle driver. It seems it’s his job to deliver room service – if he has time between his airport trips. The staff are friendly and helpful where they can be, but it seems they work with a General Manager who doesn’t understand Hotel Hospitality. Bet he’s a great accountant though."
