"We booked a few nights sporadically over the month of April staying at this hotel.
This was more convenient for us as we were staying in multiple areas around Bordeaux and we needed a base.
The hotel was really funky in line with the Indigo style, the location was fantastic, ideally situated in the main bustling area of Bordeaux and less than a minutes walk to the river front.
The bedroom was spacious, bright and airy, the bed was extremely comfortable, the room, public communal areas and restaurant & bar areas were scrupulously clean.
The staff in the restaurant were absolutely fantastic, professional, very friendly, attentive and accommodating.
The senior staff on the front desk were again very friendly, professional and attentive but alas their were issues that we experienced dealing with the younger members of the team whom were still in training. We fully understand training needs to happen but we both feel that any queries from guests should be reported back to senior members of the team to deal with and rectify.
We experienced repeated problems with getting our Loyalty Welcome points credited to our IHG account at check-in, this happened on multiple occasion and only with the younger members of the team whom were in training.
As we stayed here on multiple nights over a weekly period we had the chance to stay in different rooms, in this case we had problems with the air conditioning in all the bedrooms as they were not sufficiently cooling the room down.
This is a relatively new hotel, therefore the issues appeared to be with the compressor, condenser unit, or the evaporator. The fans and thermostat were working fine in all the rooms we stayed in but the problem appeared to be the same. I would suggest that maintenance check the bedrooms before each guest checks in to ensure the air conditioning units are working perfectly.
As much as we reported these issues time and time again nothing was done to rectify the problem. Furthermore, the small chiller fridge in all the bedrooms we stayed in also appeared to be insufficient, this was a case of lack of ventilation in the cupboard which surrounds the fridge therefore they are not able to work to full capacity to chill your drinks down enough to a cold temperature as the condenser units in the back of them are hot.
In conclusion, we still feel that despite the above issues with the mini-fridges and air conditioning our time here was lovely. It was a lovely hotel, great staff, nice rooms, lovely building and conveniently located to be right by the river as the public transportation system is great, cheap and convenient.
If you are travelling via the airport, Leave the terminal, walk to the tram station, take Tram Line A all the way to Hotel de Ville, depart and cross over, get on Tram Line B to CAPC the hotel is across the road."
