Timeless indulgence on the Red Sea
There’s something about a classic. A certain ease, a quiet confidence. Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh leans into that charm – with sun-drenched elegance and a kind of hospitality that feels like it’s always known exactly what it’s doing.
Expect a sought-after setting right on the shores of the Red Sea, and sprawling gardens where the palms might outnumber the people 10 to 1 – though we haven’t double-checked those maths. And in the rare, palm-free spots, you’ll find five outdoor pools, a handful of tennis courts, a squash court, gym, spa, and 12 bars and restaurants. Whether you’re a fly-and-flopper, a can’t-sit-still-er, or a certified foodie, you’ll feel right at home here.

Hotel highlights
The Four Seasons prides itself on being able to arrange virtually anything, from desert safaris and stargazing adventures to sunset boat trips. And that’s just within a 50-mile radius. They can even arrange day trips to Cairo or Luxor – complete with a private Egyptologist to expertly guide you around the sights – so you can get a side of history with your holiday.
Prefer a taste of what Sharm has to offer? Spend an evening being whisked around the Old Market by your tour guide – barter for your souvenirs or just stroll through the stalls and take it all in.
Picture this: your plate piled high with net-fresh seafood, a salty breeze rolling off the Red Sea, and a chilled glass of wine. Perfection. And that’s just the offering at Reef Grill; there are plenty more – or rather, moreish – moments to be had across the impressive line-up of restaurants. From sharing plates of hummus to burrata that melts in your mouth, aside from your sunnies, the most important thing to pack might be your appetite.
After dark we reckon the best seat in the house is on the Citadel Lounge terrace, where live music sets the mood as the stars roll in.
Ready to live like Cleopatra for a day? No, really – a fan favourite at the Four Seasons’ spa is the signature Cleopatra treatment, a luxurious soak in an Egyptian bath followed by an aroma massage.
And there’s plenty more pampering where that came from – scrubs, masks, facials, and top-to-toe packages if you’re in need of something stronger to get you decompressing. And don’t feel like you need to rush off once your treatment has ended, either. Whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges await – just make sure you come up for air before your family files a missing person report.
The sandy shoreline at the end of the garden gets top marks from us. Gloriously private, peppered with sun loungers, and with a jetty that juts out into the waters of the Red Sea – that’s your swimming and your sunbathing sorted.
The spa menu is a who’s who of the usual suspects – back massages, deep tissue treatments, and aromatherapy – but with a couple of standouts, including the signature African Tunes treatment. It’s a 100-minute journey of music and relaxation, with healing sounds and warm pindas stones.
