Comfort Hotel Vesterbro

"The hotel would have every opportunity to be a popular place to stay — one you’d want to return to next time. The location, very close to Tivoli, is excellent. Unfortunately, with its current way of operating, it’s not an option for me anymore. The hotel’s communication with customers does not match the reality. The focus on financial efficiency was too obvious: for example, rooms were cleaned only every fourth day, and at breakfast guests were expected to clear their own dishes on plastic trays to collection carts. However, the most confusing experience was our arrival at the hotel. We arrived at 2:00 p.m. The receptionist said that the room was ready, but if we paid 100 DKK, we could get it before the official check-in time at 3:00 p.m. The amount was small, but we didn’t want to pay for greed. When we came back at 3:00 p.m., the line at the reception was long. We wondered who actually benefits from the 100 DKK extra fee — certainly not the customers waiting in line, nor the busy reception staff. So overall, the hotel did not leave a customer-friendly impression, nor any desire to return."

"It was truly a strange hotel. The rooms and corridors were narrow, dark, and eerie. The lighting in the rooms was very dim. The central ventilation system is old and noisy, and the windows cannot be opened. The bathroom exhaust fan is ineffective, and unpleasant odours linger in the rooms. There was a liquid soap in the bathroom labelled “hand, head, and body wash”?!?! 🤔 Rooms are cleaned only once every three or 4 nights. Even the corridors and public restrooms require a key card to enter. This is the first four-star hotel I’ve ever stayed in that did not have a refrigerator in the room, no tea, coffee, kettle, iron & ... Only two things were truly excellent: 1) the location, and 2) one of the reception staff, Ms. Gilli, who kindly took care of our family, especially my 4 Y/O baby."
