Appia Hotel Residences

"We stayed for 3 days over the Halloween period and the hotel did not disappoint in a lot of cases but sadly for us the room (101) is one to avoid. So let's get the room issue out of the way first, and I realise after visiting and looking through the reviews this isn't the first time this room has been mentioned so it shouldn't be a suprise to the hotel staff that this room is noisy. It sounds like it's next to a service elevator which means early in the morning, as early as 530 on weekdays all you hear is the loud clatter of a lift going up... and then down repetively. Really tough to sleep through and a real spoiler for the weekend and hotel because everything else is fantastic. So onto the good stuff, breakfast fabulous selection of hot and cold buffet particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon and the regular change of items in the patisserie area. Lots of availability nothing ran out. The staff very friendly and welcoming and really like the rfd tip system that even allows a to for the maids in the room. The room, for a simple double loads of space, clean, warm and nice touch with the added extras of a dressing gown, slippers and well stocked reasonably priced mini bar fridge. Really enjoyed having the Terrace for the evening too. The location was a little hidden if you didn't get a taxi but once you know where it is again a great location really close to the castle about 10 minute walk. So overall a good stay just a little tired from the lack of sleep."

"My wife and I loved our stay at the Appia in Oct 2025. The furnishings were first rate and immaculately maintained; if there is a scuff mark or any other normal signs of use anywhere on the property, I didn't see it. Super friendly staff; in a town full of friendly people, the Appia front desk staff stood out. We loved the breakast room and quality of the breakfast. Mala Strana is our favorite part of Prague -- every street is so picturesque. The hotel is conviently located near the castle, Charles Bridge, and other major attractions but in a very quiet neighborhood with no tourist crowds whatsoever. In terms of elevation, it is closer to the castle than the river. My wife and I didn't have any trouble walking back up the hill at the end of each day, but older travelers (we're in our 50s) or people that have some difficulty walking may prefer staying at the bottom of the hill."
