Waterman Hotel Kaktus

"Absolutely superb, such a beautiful island to visit, and the Waterman Kaktus Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Some of the staff are just lovely, bar staff not so much, they were very unwelcoming, to the point of being quite miserable, however the reception staff, the lady who cleaned our room were so lovely, they more than made up for the bar staff. Food was hot, there was plenty of choice and tasty, desserts were probably the best of any all inclusive package holiday I've had. The drinks in the all inclusive were either very strong or exceptionally weak, very hit and miss, my husband and I are not big drinkers so to be honest that didn't bother us very much at all. There are so many different spaces to sit and relax both inside the hotel and outside, by the pools, around the grounds which are considerably bigger than we anticipated. The hotel is immaculate again inside and out, lots of places to enjoy either the sun (we were very lucky 10 night holiday and it was 26 degrees of pure sun) in October was glorious for me, my husband prefers a lot of shade and there were lots of covered areas for him as well, so we were both very happy people. The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk into beautiful Supetar, with ample bars, little boutique shops, supermarkets and little craft stalls selling beautiful local crafted gifts. I cannot recommend this location enough, it is stunning, exceptionally clean and there are buses to various towns on the island and let's not miss out the most beautiful town Bol, with the most gorgeous beach by miles Zlatni Rat, honestly its a MUST see. We also took the Ferry from Supetar to the city of Split, for a day out, which was wonderful, we highly recommend a tut tut tour, takes an hour and a half, but you will some spectacular views you would miss just walking around the city. In my opinion Croatia is one of the most beautiful places to visit, but if you like stunning scenery, where you feel safe no matter what time of day or night you are out, this is a place I cannot recommend enough."

"The hotel is lovely, great staff and very friendly, extremely clean. Generous with drinks spirits, tea, coffee etc. Food was adequate but obviously after two weeks of stay a bit monotonous but overall extremely good. Our first room 119 was not nice at all with hardly having a balcony very narrow and looking onto a roof top and through a thick tree but kindly sorted the day after with a lovely balcony and sea views room 323. Had a lovely stay, would definitely recommend. Thank you"

"I didn't actually stay in the hotel. i stayed at the hotel next door who had closed their spa so this hotel were kind enough to let me use their spa facilities. I had two lovely treatments in the spa for a very reasonable price. The hotel I stayed at next door The Aminess Vival Velaris was quite terrible. They had mostly closed everything down for the end of the season and I have nothing good to say about it. This hotel however, on both occasions I went, I bought coffee from friendly staff, the ladies on reception were lovely. The hotel was always bustling with lots of people and the restaurants looked lovely. If you have to choose between the two hotels in this locality, I would choose this one! Everything about it looks vastly better compared to its neighbors."
