Beachfront resort in the heart of the forest
The Waterman Hotel Kaktus offers a doubly whammy of sea and forest views, thanks to a prime setting right on the waterfront and cocooned by pine trees on Brac’s northern coast. From here, you’ve got direct access to a handful of the isle’s beaches.
The resort is designed in Croatia’s signature style – cue whitewashed, terracotta-roofed blocks scattered among the greenery, streams and lily pad ponds. In the heart of it all you’ll find a collection of five pools, including two dedicated to little ones. If you're staying in one of the Privilege rooms, you'll also have access to the stunning adults-only Lennox infinity pool, which has a retractable roof meaning it can act as either an open air or indoor pool, and comes with its own à la carte bar. Other guests can pay for access to the Lennox pool.
Looking for added relaxation? There's a top-of-the-range spa on-site, a sauna as well as a tempting line up of massages and treatments. Visit between September and June, meanwhile, and the heated indoor pool will be open, too. At the other end of the spectrum, there are daily sports and activities organised by the hotel team, things like mini-golf, tennis and windsurfing to try out, plus a kids’ club for tots to enjoy.
The hotel’s main restaurant lays on big buffet spreads at mealtimes. Expect international dishes along with local specialities, and regular themed nights with show cooking. During the summer months, there's also an open-air à la carte eatery. After-dinner drinks can be enjoyed at the sea-facing cocktail bar, or head for the theatre to catch a show. Alternatively, Supetar’s cosmopolitan town centre is just a 10-minute walk away, where you’ll find authentic bars and live music.
Please note that the indoor pool is closed from 15th of June to the 15th of September.
Your journey to the hotel will include a transfer from Split Airport to Split Port, where you'll wait for the next available ferry to take to Brac Island. Just so you know, you'll need to carry your own luggage on and off the ferry, which will include a flight of steps. The crossing takes approximately 60 mins. From the port on Brac Island, you'll take a transfer to your chosen accommodation. The same applies for your return journey. Please note, the total transfer time of approximately 3 hours does not include your wait time for the ferry.
