Clayton Hotel Birmingham

"Short walk from New Street and the Bullring. Had a work event at the Science Museum which was a couple of minutes from the hotel. My first room 702 was nice. Water and popcorn are a nice touch. Great view. Sadly it had a horrendously loud humming buzzing noise. Went down to the front desk to be told there were no other rooms to change in to as it was full. One of the team came up and agreed it was extended loud. Shortly after, I received a phone call saying they had found another room and they'd be up to help me move. Very apologetic and helpful in carrying my things. They also gave me a free drink voucher. The room was a bit of a downgrade. Not as nice as my previous room. The TV signal was so poor it was unwatchable and the sink was blocked and slow to drain. Despite all that I was very grateful to have a room where I could sit and sleep in without the constant buzzing. Breakfast was great. Lots of variety and well cooked hot food. 5* for the staff who did all they could to make me comfortable."
