Lella Baya & Thalasso Hotel

"Worst holiday I’ve ever been on. They did not like English! Ignore you when you’re trying to be served. The food is disgusting no air conditioning no Internet unless you’re at reception desk. Down by the pool is very loud music in the evenings. It feels like someone’s actually in your room, singing karaoke to you till 11pm. Drinks are very limited And I’m drinkable really. We moved hotels halfway through because this really was unbearable!! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody!"

"From the moment we arrived it was all downhill the only good thing was we were coming out to meet family friends! We were a family of 5 travelling once we filled out the paperwork and payed the taxes for 2 rooms we headed up only to find we were given 2 single rooms consisting of a double bed in each? When my mother and father in law traveled as a couple arrived at the same time as us and recieved a bedroom with a double and 2 single beds so could sleep 4 people so back down to reception I went and I had to explain myself several times before someone finally got that I needed a room with 4 beds minimum and then I could put one child in with thier grandparents. The hotel itself looks picturesque but after spending just one evening looks can be deceiving! We stayed in room 300 and the hallway to this had no lighting so walking in the dark the beds felt like sleeping on planks of wood the only good part of our room was the stunning view but was always on high alert as high up with a 4 year old and the balcony I wouldn’t say was particularly safe! Plaster peeling of walls second night found ants all over one of the single beds so the 4 year old slept in with us for the remainder of the holiday although we spoke to reception and they dealt with the ants we still didn’t want to risk it The food was somewhat terrible one evening was chicken skewers which were raw we told the waiter and he then brought a fresh plate over only for them to be even more raw than the first lot! The hotel we think personally caters for the French more we only see 2 other English families and thier thoughts were the same as ours on the hotel so if you have booked this hotel try getting it changed asap! Especially if you have any picky eaters in your party on the plus side we found some lovely restaurants around and all cheaply priced"

"I’ve been travelling abroad for the over 50 years and I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The hotel building was lovely and the bedrooms comfortable apart from no air conditioning as apparently it is now winter although the temperatures were high 20s. There were mosquitos and flies everywhere. Only internet was at reception. Food was very poor. Never any spoons on the table, you had to ask a waiter if you wanted one. On one occasion we watched to see where he got one from, it was the trolley with dirty cutlery on. He wiped a dirty spoon with a serviette and gave it to me!! We actually booked 2 nights at another hotel just to get some decent food. The hotel was all inclusive but only one cocktail available, the rest you had to pay for. The list goes on."
