Lago Resort Menorca – Casas del Lago

"Just returned from our 3rd visit this year - we really love the accommodation, the relaxed adult only vibe is great, close to the beach and marina with lovely waterfront restaurants. The bali beds by the pool are so comfy (charge 40 euros but you get that back in drinks from the bar, waiter service by the pool) Breakfast is healthy and delicious all food & drinks at the hotel are very good quality. The team here are wonderful nothing is too much trouble for them, we appreciate the wine & pastries as repeat guests. Housekeeping is outstanding, turn down service and treat is a lovely surprise. We will be back next year - thank you for the lovely memories of 2025."

"We are currently on holiday at the Lago Resort bungalows/villas in Menorca, having booked it for the October half-term with Jet2 Holidays. We are a group of 12, including children and an elderly person with restricted mobility. We booked well in advance, and the resort description sounded perfect — 14 restaurants on site, access to an adults-only hotel and spa, plus nearby shops, private restaurants, and a water park. However, when we arrived on 25th October, we were shocked to be told by staff that the entire resort was closing down that very day. At no point did Jet2 inform us about this in advance.(This infomation was not availble at the time of booking.) By 6 p.m. that evening, all 14 restaurants were closed, along with the spa, reception, and other private restaurant and shop nearby fallowed this.Windows are covered, doors locked — the whole area feels like a ghost town. The only place still open is a small local street restaurant, and the owner told us they’ll be closing by Thursday. We’re here until Saturday. The few local grocery shops still open are almost empty, with very little food available if we wanted to cook. It honestly feels like we’ve been left stranded on a deserted island. We’ve tried multiple times to contact Jet2 through the numbers provided, but with no luck. When we finally reached our Jet2 representative and asked for help, the only response we received was, “I’m not able to help you.” All of this could have been avoided if Jet2 had simply informed us about the resort’s closure before we travelled. Instead, we’re stuck in an empty resort with no facilities, no dining options, and no support. Definitely a holiday to remember — but for all the wrong reasons. "

"We arrived on Monday 20 Oct 2025. Check in was one of the smoothest I've experienced. Lady who checked us in and all on reception have been superb. I have only a couple negatives about this hotel. 1. The pool is beyond cold, I tried for 4 days to get in and to no avail. Far colder than I've ever exoerienced. 2. Lagos Festival, we knew absolutely nothing about this until we saw them setting up on thursday. No leaflets or boards in hotel telling us this was happening and it's right outside my hotel room window do no sleep expected tonight (friday). Very poor from the hotel not to communicate this to us prior to arriving or even on check in. 3. Breakfast, there are replacement trays of food the arrive from kicthen I.e beans or bacon and they arrive stone cold. English bacon not cooked it may aswel be raw. 4. You get a card to put on your pillow for change of sheets and when u put that on u still dont get clean sheets. The water in fridge you get may aswel be tap water as it tasted exactly the same. The rooms are fantastic, beds really comfortable l, pillows could be bigger but still ok. All staff fantastic. Hotel great. Lack of communication let's this hotel down."
