Abora Buenaventura by Lopesan Hotels

"We've been going to Buenaventura for 4 years now and it just feels like home every time. My name is Raimundo, I'm Canarian and I always visit the hotel alone or with Family, it's my first choice every time. The team is lovely and the services are excellent in every way. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful decorated with super comfy beds. Just wake up in the morning and walk across the resort on the way to breakfast gives you the best vibes. Animation is great, they keep the energy on point. Big shout out to all bar and restaurant members with no exception, I'm really bad for names but I would give a specially mention to Jenny, angel and Desi and Asun in reception. They always make us feel like at home once we check in. Fantastic hotel and highly recommended. You get the best possible for your money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"This holiday was a suprise for my 60th birthday organised by my daughters! This is a beautiful hotel and spotlessly clean… Location is great with lots going on all around… two main pools with different atmosphere, we opted for the fun pool by the stage…heated, lots going on..aquafit was really good and a very happy ‘good morning good morning’ vibe… Our room had 4 beds, such bright modern super clean rooms… The teepee took a bit of floor space so we popped it on the balcony and my granddaughter made it into a den for when we were all getting ready… There could have been more shelf space as 4 females have a lot of stuff… but I’m being picky here There is a kettle and couple of cups but nothing to put in them so taking up space on the one shelf… but like I say… picky.. I thought the all inclusive food was excellent, for the reviews saying repetitive I really dont know what else they could have put out… there was literally everything from pasta, fresh tuna, chicken, Turkey steaks…veg chips different style potatoes there was literally everything list goes on…salads were fab and lots of desserts and plenty of fresh fruit Nothing ever ran out or run down they did an amazing job there… We discovered the pool bar at the quieter pool did the best pina coladas!!!! The lively pool ones were very poor in comparison.. but nice to go for a stretch and get the best ones haha Mini disco was one of the best I’ve seen with entertainment after… not a late finish This is quite a large hotel but not very high rise… so there is some walking to be done to get from A to B, I didn’t mind this as lots of relaxing was had throughout the day… Decent supermarket on site and a lovely arcade for children, I’d left my pain killers in the room one day and they don’t sell them in the supermarket but chemists are all near by if needed… I think this is a fabulous hotel, organised, spotless with a great atmosphere for all age groups…"

"The food is good enough, though can't expect better unless eating out. The ice cream was the best desserts, but avoid the cakes as they were watery/bland. There was some lovely sweet bread. Some of the veg was over cooked, but can't go too wrong with salads and meats, and always chip/spaghetti/pizza, if you like that sort of thing. The rooms facing the pools tend to be noisier, so get a room facing outwards. Rooms close to 200 were the farthest but quietest. There 3 main trips you can do. I have done the tour to Firgas etc at north of island and are worth visiting. The pools were heated and around 5ft deep.More to splash around in, rather than do laps/for fitness. They tend to be fairly busy. Some other things, tennis courts are available and maybe rackets and balls hireable. Also, a beach volleyball court is there. Some pool tables at 2 euros a game, and some arcades like bowling and basketball ticket sort of machines. There is evening entertainment. Mostly dancing. Someone playing saxophone a bit too long. Lots of costume changes, but a bit repetitive, but otherwise watchable (it's free so no loss)."
