Cala Mirto Hotel

"Stayed for a week to use as a base to explore the region and visit family. Very comfortable and rooms cleaned daily . Very tasty and fresh continental breakfast . Friendly reception staff and barman. Nice roof terrace and pool to sunbath . Access to local beach 5 mins walk . Lots of lovely restaurants in the area including a great Pizza restaurant Pedra's again 5 minutes walk . Day trips to Posada and Cala Gonone to see the Caves well worth the effort . Frequent Street Markets held in Budoni and there was a South American Food and Music festival while we were there . All in all a very pleasant trip and I would go back without hesitation."

"The area is nice if you prefer a quiet place to stay besides that there is nothing I could recommend. The sant Anna Bay beautiful but not if you are into Sandy White beaches. The nearest Beach within walking distance was crowded and small. The photos of the hotel didn’t meet up at all in real life. Garden totally dry not green. The furnitures, room and outside equipment old and worn out. The small tiny shampoo bags are ridiculous not sufficient. The breakfast tasteless, small variety and everything is being handpicked by the staff meaning that you are standing behind a glass Wall pointing at what you want. Good idea considering the Covid but annoying if you want to pick by yourself. Breakfast is untill 10am and then everything is removed. Normally Italian coffee is good but this was horrible vending machine coffee. The staff not that serviceminded. On our first Day I asked the receptionist help us with a restaurant reservation in another restaurant since I couldnt do it online or speak Italian and she replied this is not normal service they provide. The hotel restaurant is often empty but they still require you to make a reservation even though you Can see only 3 tables booked in the evening. The female waiter seemed annoyed everytime we asked for something. Bedsheets and towels only get changed after 3 nights not nice when you shower everyday after Beach. If you are in the room when they need to make the changes they dont come back unless you ask for it. Not coming back to this hotel but definitely to Sardinia again,"

"Hotel Cala Mirto is what i would describe as a secluded holiday apartment village. Me and my family stayed there for 4 nights in September 2024 for our first time in Sardinia. The rooms were cleaned daily and each have a lovely outdoor seating area. If i am being completley honest this is not the place to be if you want to be in a busy town centre or close to amenities, with the nearest restaurant (pizza) being around a 20 minute walk off road across a pitch black field, this can be quite a daunting walk especially at night. Whilst the location is beautiful, i would not recomend staying here without a car as the public transport is extremeley unreliable and often does not show up / can be 30mins+ late and the nearest bus stop from the hotel is around a 25 minute walk in tanaunella. There is a taxi service recommended by the hotel however he charges extortionate prices and is not always avaliable. I dont believe this area is very tourist friendly either as there seemed to be a big a language barrier making it difficult to communicate - however in saying that, most locals and hotel workers were extremeley friendly and happy to help via google translate. Hotel Cala Mirto’s employees are also amazing and extremeley helpful, each request was dealt with professionally and quickly and nothing was too much trouble. On two occasions the hotel employee Davide also gave us a lift to and from Budoni as we were lost/stranded and we cannot thank the hotel enough for this first class service. The also provided us with travel adaptors and were always happy to help us work out directions and bus routes. Overall a beautiful hotel, but please be prepared with the location to do a lot of walking or alternativley hire a car to make the best out of your experience :)"
