"Walking to the hotel, we quickly realised that we were in a university area and surrounded by students. Although this seemed a little off putting at first (we felt that we were the only family there) this did not pose a problem at all. We felt very safe in this area. On arrival, we waited to check in as we were a little early, and went to the restaurant downstairs for a drink. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 112 and was impressed by the room and the amount of storage space. We had a large hanging rack in the entrance to the room and a separate storage room with another large rail and bench. There was plenty of room to store luggage. An added bonus was our little balcony facing the street. It was busy and vibrant and great for people watching. About a 7minute walk away was Policlinico Metro. This is 2 stops from Termini, which is then another 6 stops to the Vatican or 4 stops to the Colosseum. Down from the metro a little walk are two cafes and a supermarket, which are handy. This hotel was clean, convenient, efficient and a great location! Thank you for making our stay enjoyable."

"Our daughter was visiting Italy and became very ill prior to her return to the States. She was hospitalized at Policlinico Umberto in Rome. This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to that hospital. I can’t speak highly enough about the hotel staff. When I made the reservations, we were dealing with a very ill daughter in a country where we did not speak the language. As I was hurriedly making flight arrangements as well as hotel arrangements, I mistakenly reserved the room starting a day too early. When we arrived in Rome and explained the mistake I made, they had NO PROBLEM changing the reservation to reflect the days we were actually there. I thought that was very kind and understanding. As our daughter’s condition continued to evolve, it required us to keep extending our stay. Each time we extended, the front desk was pleasant and understanding, They even informed us to get a medical certificate stating our daughter was in the hospital because doing so would exempt us from paying the city taxes (I guess because we were not tourists). We just feel they are wonderful people who cared about our stay. Now about the hotel: it is, as I stated earlier, very close to the hospital. It is also about seven tenths of a mile from the Roma Termini train station. We took the train from the airport to Roma Termini and then walked to the hotel. The room we were assigned had a king bed which was comfortable for us both. There is no microwave in the room and the shower is quite small. Neither me nor my wife are big people so it wasn’t a problem but I could see some major dilemmas if you are a large person. Our air conditioning went out one night and once we reported it to the front desk the next morning, they had a maintenance man there to fix it within minutes. You can’t ask for more than that. A highlight for me is the breakfast Globus Hotel serves. I saw the pictures of what breakfast looked like but, honestly, didn’t believe that’s what I would find. Well, their breakfasts are wonderful! The people working the breakfast area are equally as nice and pleasant as the front desk. Food is varied and tasty. We ate at the upstairs restaurant one evening but that didn’t live up to the expectations we had after experiencing the rest of the hotel. There are TONS of restaurants, large and small, within easy walking distance. So, after a 10 day stay tending to our daughter, I would not hesitate coming back to this hotel. "We stayed here for 7 nights from 28th August to 4th September 2025. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just outside the centre of Rome near the University, a mere 20 minute walk from Rome's Termini train station and less than 10 minutes walk from the nearest Metro station, Policlinico which is 2 stops from Termini and 4 from the Colosseum. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel and room were spotless. Housekeeping changed towels, made our bed, emptied bins and refreshed the free bottled water in the fridge daily. The lobby had a coffee and water station with free biscuits which was a nice touch. We stayed on a room only basis and there was a decent supermarket just down the road (3 minute walk) as well as a fantastic Pizza place ( Pizza Dai Cinque) that was excellent value to eat in or takeaway slices or whole pizzas as well as other traditional street foods such as Supplì and Calzone etc. There is a coffee shop/bar/food outlet below the hotel as well as one directly opposite, both served excellent Espresso. Our room was much larger than expected with a huge double bed and a lovely large bathroom with a spacious shower, we also had a balcony which was a nice surprise. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the front of the hotel with a view of the tree lined avenue. The hotel is located in a pleasant residential area however due to the location being in close proximity to the University there was a lot of noise in the evenings from both nearby coffee shops and lots of loud voices and traffic could be heard through the less than efficient double glazing, however with the exception of one evening (a loud argument ensued below) this did not unduly bother us as we were exhausted from all of the sightseeing and walking involved."
