Zante Plaza Hotel and Apartments

"We are a family of 6 so booked two separate rooms which were located 4 doors down from each other on the ground floor of the main building. Lovely welcome from the lady on reception, entertainment on the days that had it was ok but the space is not ideal to see what is going on,first night was a guy singing (Red Roosters) who was great! Food was really mixed, bbq evenings were good but everything else hit and miss and not very warm at all. Extremely noisy neighbours complained to reception twice, and to them in person, young lads smoking were all night and making noise until 3-4am! Constantly having other people in the room to add to the noise. Why place them in between two families? The lady on the other side didn’t sell for days! End of season Laganas was a ghost town! Only one restaurant and two bars open by the time we left making the holiday very boring! Only boat trips left to book onto to see the turtles although there was only one left that week as they had all left until next year. End of season hotel began closing down around us, all felt very surreal. I know it is a large job and easy for the break but it makes you as a guest start to feel like an inconvenience. No pancakes the last two days because the had cleaned the griddle, no snack bar on the last day, freezer food out for lunch I.e fish fingers and onion rings it just seemed like they were using things up and the chive was less and less as the week went on. Rooms are soooo noisy! Tiled floors everywhere, constantly woken up early by the cleaners or other neighbours slamming doors. Main pool looked dirty towards the end with 3 plasters floating about. Highlights hiring a boat and a trip to zante town for lunch out and a change of scenery where everything was open although the bus only goes 3 times and day 2€ pp or 20€ in a taxi. 4 good days or weather and two stormy days to finish the holiday where you lost your mind due to having no options but to sit in your room or hotel Lobby. Mosquitos and wasps everywhere, I personally was bit 20+ times and stung twice, making it very hard to relax by the pool with wasps circling everywhere including inside the hotel. Lagana strip looked filthy by the end of the season, and the beach/sand is half of the amount where was 20 years ago. I would not return or recommend zante at this time of year."

"Just returned from a wonderful week here. Friendly staff, nice small resort, shop just across the road, food was lovely, clean bedding everyday, just perfect. Beach is 1 minure from the hotel, perfect for watching the sunrise. Managed to see the fisherman feeding the turtle aswell. Also visited Shipwreck bay, zante town, kalamaki and more!"

"I went here with my family and the food was terrible it was all cold and they had mixed some of the foods and the meat any the chips where cold the drinks where water up a lot I had got a apple juice and it was like water and the coke wasn’t proper coke and some of the food was stale the entertainment was shocking there was no entertainment by the pool in the day and at the night it wasn’t that good it didn’t start until half 9 and breakfast was good and also some of the food was rotten I wouldent recommend coming to this hotel it’s not worth your money"
