Dreamy spot on Dassia Bay
The Grecotel LUX ME Daphnila Bay is elegantly scattered down the hillside of Corfu’s Kommeno peninsula, and with this comes some seriously swoon-worthy views of the Ionian Sea. Take your eyes off the water and the beach and you’ll find the grounds are equally photo-worthy – especially the sea-view pool. Plus, the hotel’s All Inclusive Plus board comes as standard, so you’ll be in for a treat when it comes to food and drink.
When you’re not down at the beach – where a gelateria-cum-crêperie provides the snacks – the pool is the place to be – it’s at the heart of the grounds and is edged by smart sun terraces and a team of loungers and parasols. There’s also a heated swimming spot in the spa centre.
If you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger, you can get involved in games of beach volleyball and tennis, or try aqua aerobics, dance classes, and more. You can also book onto the hotel’s shuttle boat to other Grecotel resorts in the area and make use of even more facilities. Trips to Danilia Village – a beautiful replica of a 1930s Corfiot village – are also available. Younger guests aren’t forgotten, either – there’s a kids’ club at the beach as well as a programme of activities for teens.
If that sounds too high energy, take some me time at the Elixir Spa. There’s an impressive treatment menu on offer, which features natural therapies based on Greek herbs and flowers. You can also hop between the sauna and steam room, or book yourself in to the beauty salon. A gym is also on hand if you fancy a workout.
So, let’s talk restaurants. The main eatery is a buffet place serving around-the-world dishes, and there’s a barbecue on hand for those warm summer nights. You can also book a place at four à la carte restaurants, too, which tick off Greek, Italian, and Asian cuisine, as well as fine dining. There’s also patisserie and chocolatier, a poolside snack restaurant, and a snack place that's open till late. The bar line-up features four options, too, including a wine library, a terrace bar, a beach bar, and a theatre bar.
Please note that due to the layout of the hotel, most public areas and rooms may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. The heated pool is semi-covered.
