"Used this hotel to bookend our Disney stay in order to maximise park time on our first and last days, so comments are based on two rooms and two check ins. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend it at all, unless that’s all the budget will stretch to. We’ve also previously used two other hotels on this patch of land and some Disney hotels so will try to comment objectively and fairly.
Arrival- we were tired after a long drive and check in was an absolute drag- it was 8pm and it took an age to get to the front and check in. You’ll be given a PIN number to type onto a lock on your room door.
Room- functional is the best word I can use here. Might be okay in summer, but for a winter stay the laminate flooring was stark, and there isn’t a whisper of any sort of theming, just white walls and white sheets. To be fair it was all clean. The bathroom was a joke, the bath could only fit a 5ft3 person in the upright position! It was Elf sized, so if a warm bath after clocking up 25,000 steps in the parks is important to you don’t stay here. Also no kettle in rooms.
Park shuttle- this looked stressful in the cold, people standing about and kids crying etc, we didn’t use it so can’t comment on efficiency.
Breakfast- oh. my. goodness. This was a bonus for us when choosing a hotel, included in the price to set us up for the day. NO. I can’t stress enough how poor the breakfast is. The food is laid out in a big area but it’s exactly the same on both sides. There was nothing hot at all on the first stay, and on the second it was chewy omelette triangles and beans only. There was bread, pastry, couple of bowls of fruit that tasted strange, only two types of cereal- muesli and chocolate curls. Milk curdled when I put some in my desperately needed morning tea. Tables weren’t laid so you had to keep trotting up to get a napkin or spoon, and forks were run out and not replenished. It was noisy, had people wandering around aimlessly getting in each others way (probably looking for the rest of the choices) and generally just really rubbish.
In conclusion, for the same price there are definitely better options- you won’t feel an ounce of Disney magic here."
