Leonardo Inn Glasgow West End

"Stopped here for the night as had an early morning appointment at the nearby hospital. I had checked in online which meant my room keycard was waiting at the reception desk. There are lifts to the upstairs floors but only one is currently working. Room was large with a tv, refreshment tray, ironing board , a huge king size bed and and an en suite with toiletries and a bath. The room was very clean but needed some TLC. Stains on the chairs, paint missing off windows and skirting boards and lots of peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. It was a bit noisy inside and out during the early evening and early morning but as I sleep with ear plugs I slept really well in the comfy bed. They do have a restaurant for dinner and breakfast ( but I didn't eat there, but they are also adjacent to a BP garage and a M& S food hall if you want snacks. Yes room needed some maintenance but perfect for what I wanted for a reasonable price ( £80 for the night)"

"Stains on lamps and stains on the sides of the bed are disgusting! Bathroom floor needs a good scrub!! Curtain was hanging off the rail. Bad smell throughout hotel from as soon as you walk in all the way to the room."

"The staff were pleasant enough, helped when needed. The room we were in was very poor and dirty. The units were covered in dust, mattress had a mattress protector on but not fitted to the bed, mattress was also brown, the toilet on the back was thick of grimy dust, the bath had gritty stuff in the bottom with a couple of what looked like pubes too. The stench of sewage around the hotel was not great either. It was in the best location for us but it 100% needs updated and cleaned. Our room was a standard room but my daughter had booked a king room for more money and it was no different to ours but their bathroom ceiling was flaking off and it had quite a few cob webs hanging from the ceiling but also had the same dirty in bath and toilet. It made do for 1 night but I would be disappointed for more nights had we stayed longer. I wouldn’t recommend and probably wouldn’t return. Just my opinion"
