ibis Belfast City Centre

"I was staying at the Ibis Belfast City Centre with a young travel group touring around the UK and Ireland. The staff were so friendly! Shoutouts go to the bar staff, PARTICULARLY Jonny!! If you’re lucky to be staying at the Ibis Belfast City Centre and meet Jonny behind the bar, you are in for amazing customer service and tasteful banter from him and his team. Don’t order basic mixed drinks from Jonny, or maybe you should….. because he will add his own twists to them. That flair is pure gold and radiates in hospitality. The group wanted to go to another bar on our last night but found ourselves at the hotel bar waiting for Jonny to start his shift so we could see him one more time. Jonny, you and your team are an absolute treat. We were so lucky and are blessed to have met you."

"Absolutely no complaints at all. Rooms where brand new, bathroom a good size( alright one wee complaint, the body wash is pretty poor) beds nice and comfy. Staff were brilliant throughout our stay and the pizza well worth a try. Location a 5-10 mins walk to the Europa hotel, maybe a good 10-15 to the Cathedral quarter. All in all would not hesitate going back again."

"Stayed here for 2 nights. It’s a nice central location just a few minutes walk from the shopping centre. The rooms are comfy and quiet and nicely decorated. The shower was good but the bathroom was in like a round chamber which was ok but I think if you suffered claustrophobia you would be concerned and need to leave the door open. The foyer has a bar and pizza restaurant in it - we had pizza one night and it was absolutely delicious . The service was absolutely appalling though - the tables were not clean , plates all over the place - we asked the bar person if they could clean our table and I’m not joking he asked a colleague to do it: she came over cleaned and cleared empty tables in front of where we were sitting and left ours! No cutlery was brought out with meal ….. basically for what is a nice bar area with tasty food it was really let down by this basic incompetence. The road near this hotel does feel a bit rough at night with a few vagrant/drunk types and one evening we were walking into the hotel and one was stood in the foyer shouting at us and the manager moved him on. I think for the price it was ok but if service is something you think a lot about I’d reconsider eating here."
