"We used this hotel on a day rate last year with our baby, for the pool facilities, we enjoyed it so much we returned this year as a couple for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Our experience was different in positive and negative ways;
- we were kindly upgraded to the honeymoon suite (room 212 I think?) in the top corner. Was amazing and we were so grateful, absolutely speechless to have been so fortunate!
- location is fab, short taxi journey from dalaman airport and short walking distance to the town, beautiful scenery and a tiny corner shop across the road stocking everything you need and such a polite man who owns it.
- food is delicious and something for everyone , although we noticed the menu has reduced since last year.
- clean pool
- friendly reception team
- fab tech used to indicate whether your room requires cleaning or not
- brilliant aircon
- great WiFi
- comfy bed
Downfalls;
- breakfast is quite limited, especially if you’re a fussy eater, also flies surrounding the food and old utensils used to serve the food in.
- the pool bar staff have all changed since the first time we visited - last year we had the pleasure of meeting Ali and the rest of the lovely ladies in the team who were so kind, happy, friendly and welcoming but they have all gone :( this year we met Simon and jimmy who have replaced them and now apparently lease the pool bar/restaurant and let me tell you… to English people who know no different , maybe they’re abit of a laugh, but for me.. someone who is half Turkish, I find it insulting that they give Turks a bad name and live up to a creepy reputation, because that is not what Turkish people are like. The language and context they used was disgusting and inappropriate, especially for a family hotel where there’s children around. No one wants to hear innuendos constantly or feel pried on. Had we had our daughter with us this time round I would have had some words to say to them…
- can’t be helped but be aware if you leave your balcony door open the birds will fly in and are difficult to get out!
- pool changing area is not clean and no baby changing facilities
- lovely little boutique shop run by a lady last year is now closed and abandoned
- kids play area all overgrown and uncared for this year
- can’t be helped but beware of huge spiders outside your rooms on the way to your room in the evening
- they allow guests to drink/eat in and around the pool which is quite unhygienic
- the same boring Spotify playlist is on repeat all day every day and it’s typical old English songs which, as holiday makers, you don’t want to listen to , be nice to hear some authentic Turkish music or even British chart songs.
Really unsure if we would return, mainly based on Simon and jimmy and uncomfortable they were making us and other guests feel.
All in all it was ok considering we were only there for a long weekend and had the delight of being upgraded to the suite."
