Celik Apart

"This was my fourth trip to the Celik and I can only describe it as heaven. I came across the Celik by mistake last May and all I can say is I wish I had found it years ago. Ilhan and his staff especially Ilkeay have become our friends and gave us the time of our life while in their company. I can’t praise them enough for their hospitality and friendship and for all the laughs we have had with them over the last two years . Don’t worry you haven’t got rid of us so easily as we will becoming to the Sevi very soon. Thank you so much for everything Jane, Sevi, Fuunda, Ilkeay and especially Ilhan for the best holidays ever 😎xxx"

"After 20 years of visiting Icmeler I found Celik. I can honestly say they are the friendliest apartments I have stayed in. The staff are second to none, work so hard and are the reason people come back year after year. Yes the apartments need some TLC, but are clean , with the best views I’ve experienced over Icmeler. Don’t be put off by the couple of negative reviews. No sunbed fights needed always room. Amazing food and drinks. Illan, Memhet and Sybil thank you for looking after us so well . Dave and Zoe"

"How these apartments get such a favourable rating is a mystery, our room was quite simply disgusting. It had not been cleaned or swept in a long time, there was a used tea bag by the side of the fridge and an assortment of rubbish underneath the bed. We couldn't walk barefoot in the apartment or else our feet became filthy which then transferred to the bed sheets or our clothing etc. Towels and sheets were left unchanged during our week, just the bin was emptied. There was precious little self catering equipment, just a kettle with a loose handle, and a plugin hob. NO toaster, No microwave, and a frying pan that looked as if it had been used for an engine oil change ! The shower tray filter was clogged with hair, which led to a slow drain away, and the bathroom shelf was on the tilt, rendering it useless. A window next to our door didn't even have a catch, so it remained permanently open, thus presenting a security risk as anyone could have just climbed through. This was reported but nothing was done about it. The handle on the balcony door had seen better days, and wouldn't shut unless it was locked. The charge for aircon and a safe was £100 for the week, the aircon itself was an old noisy dusty unit, above our bed and kept us awake half the night. There was even a charge for toilet rolls ! The biggest ripoff was paying the equivalent of £12 for two cans of Irn Bru and a large bag of crisps at the bar ! The pool was actually lovely with plenty of sunbeds but only two sunshades so we resorted to lying in the shade of a banana tree. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else."
