Bodrum Holiday Resort

"Firstly I’m not a complainer nor reviewer unless exceptional circumstances like greatness or pooress or hard working or potential etc dictate thst I do !! This hotel was a real struggle for me to feedback on although I’ve been to Bodrum before and Turkey many times I did appreciate the standards differ but you do have to weigh up cost vs standards it wasn’t £6000 but it is in the summer and personally I feel aggrieved that the cost of my £2500 saw me spending about another £1000 eating out due to cold food mostly even when we were first in line !!!! Luckily there is a superb local steak restaurant that send shuttles if you want a break from allninc and a lot of European cuisine to take you and return you safely to a lively restaurant close by fir the most amazing steaks and English Bfast !!!!!! However, the hotel I think if it worked hard during close season could learn a lot from this review and catapult itself forwards greatness by implementing the changes - so take a gamble Mr Hotel Manager or iesha and invite me back part paid for by the hotel to see if you have done so in 6 months time for feedback on what you needed to do for another honest assessment to ensure that the hotel have got it right and are moving in the right direction !!! We arrived, security on gate diligent 13.00 odd, slight mild mis understanding with reception over rooms sorted, bags taken by staff lovely welcome shown to our room by staff taking our bags, grounds beautiful no litter so much tropical colour, hotel nice mostly all good decent state of repair white cleanly painted and it all checked the box nicely, rooms lovely, nicely furnished beds and linen beautiful all good Iesha guest relation manager lovely welcome, thought yeah October 1 week £2000 4 of us all inc it’ll be ok but ….. Before I forget the spa OMG how beautiful was it and Kettle from Bali either the message and foot treatments and the spa itself but please management reward her hard work by getting the wall paper hung properly in her treatment room as it’s hanging off I don’t want pay £60 fir a massage and see a beautiful spa with wallpaper torn and the staff (mostly except a young girl in dining hall that seemed to not want to work who had a scarf thing over her head hibib ? She had a face like thunder and went at a snails pace until mgmt arrived for dinner and then worked hard we thought thst this was disgusting !!! Sadly her and other shirkers like her pulled the other hard working staff Mehat ‘tippi’ food was gold, radchuka and her brother bar were also gold and there were many others that worked tirelessly to make sure the stay was good !! The beach was great the jetties and water sports were great the bus stop outside was a cushty location and the games room for kids was big all good here !!! The bad points are that if mgmt tweaked it slightly this hotel could be instead of a Turkush 5 star/international 3 star it could in fact hit the international 4 star level very very quickly ! How ? Issue all staff more clean uniforms or check what they are wearing after all turkey and textiles go hand in hand together but not dirty uniform pls cmon we gotta eat here and trust you guys !! Don’t let staff like the hibib girl wear dirty white trainers under their dresses it’s not nice to see !!! Place a person on top pool to stop kids babies and under 14’s accessing it along with loud British families along with loud girl on their phone all day shouting at it and their friends on snap chat when the area should have been a quiet relaxing area hence it needs policing properly why should I pay thousands to come away and not be able to relax around the quiet pool as the hotel is in the right place for relaxation away from busy places !!!!! Stop the volume loudness of entertainment coming from both this hotel and next doors hotel being caught between them at 11 at night with them both flat out in your ears don’t make fir a nice relaxing time on the balcony nor being romantic with flowers and wine for your woman !!! Devide the beach and jetty’s into quiet zones with the kids and loudness monitored and moved into other zones how can you expect to sell beach cabanas for £150 euros surrounded by kids and noise and if people want to relax in them with kids want to go in them then offer 2 set days a week if not full !!! Sort the food out !!! But….. Choice was great Quantities were amazing Freshness especially salad type foods was out of this world herbs taste all there Desserts out of this world Loads of main meals meats veg etc Nice selection of chicken and turkey Thai curries lovely Bread lovely 1 loaf but other 8 types were stale Cold cooked chicken breast lovely but hams non existent !!! Only 1 day of tuna salad ??? No real nice fish ????? But sadly beyond warm fried eggs no nice bacon nor diverse cereal nor yoghurt range ! The Scrambled and omelette far too often cold and beyond first 2 days either got tired of or the range retracted and was all too often very cold ie cold roast potatoes not god !!! Worst of all sort the sewage out night after night stench whilst a lack of jet washing resulted in loads of flys in the day !!!!!!"

"Let’s start with the good points, the room was spacious in the main building. The views were lovely and the staff in general were helpful but!!!!! The food, oh dear dreadful, no variety same old same old. On a 7 day stay we ate out 5 times. The pools aren’t heated and were freezing and everything is so expensive for extras eg 10 euro for a premium spirit. Finally the flies!! Oh god they are relentless. Don’t book with mobility issues it’s all hard work"

"Stayed in room 3022 even with the freak storm and lightening it was very cosy Great value for money hotel Very clean and the staff are all very polite The food is plentiful the fish from the outdoor grill is epic Going yet again in April for a break Close to Bodrum town so lots of things to do both in the hotel and outside Many thanks to Ovrum Reception Manager for his help and the wonderful Aiysha and her team My daughter and I had a lovely holiday as ever I would say give this hotel a visit"
