"This is a lovely hotel a minute or two from its own private sandy beach. Even though we went out of season there was still a lot to do and a lot going on. There are so many places to chill, drink, eat or just just have a coffee.
Check-in
Fast and friendly, a welcoming drink brought to us at the desk and a porter took us and our cases to the room. Also given a card to exchange for a beach towel.
The Room
Spacious. clean and tidy. Large screen tv showing the most English channels I've had before. They also have Bein Sports so I was able to watch football as well. Loads of room to put your clothes. A powerful hair dryer, safe, separate toilet, powerful shower and one sink. Showering gel, soap and conditioner are supplied by the hotel.
There was also a mini fridge stocked with two of the most popular soft drinks and two bottles of beer. This was topped up every day free of charge.
Plenty of sockets all over the room, no usb port though so you will need the plug adaptors.
Beds are really comfy, not too hard or too soft.
The Pool
There is a large main pool and a much smaller one that overlooks the main pool, it basically is a small infinity pool overlooking the main one.
Now being November, I dipped my toe in and it was way too cold. In fact I only saw one person in the pool all week. There are two fridges stocked with non-alcoholic drinks that you can help yourself with positioned at either end of each pool.
At the end of the main pool there is a stage and a couple of bars, these were not open during our stay.
The Bistro bar was open, and this served freshly cooked snacks all day and into the early evening. This was much better than the normal buffet style snacks as you know it’s freshly cooked, and you can tell. The pizza I had was extremely tasty.
Amenities
There is an indoor pool next to a sauna (free) and gym (also free). You are entitled to a free 15 minute massage within two days of your arrival, We did use this and it was great. Be warned though for the hard sell to get you to pay for more.
They have a brilliant little coffee shop, inside and outside seating. Cakes and biscuits galore, we used that a lot tbh.
There is a cinema showing German and English films on alternative days, the films are not new but I would describe them as oldie goldies or classics.
There is a small games room, but there are other ‘pub’ games like bar skittles etc scattered around the hotel.
A couple of bars jotted around serving decent lager, cocktails and branded shorts.
They have a good size pool/snooker table and also specific areas for you to play cards on felt tables.
There is a hairdresser / barber on site. Several other shops including jewelers, opticians and your usual gift and clothes shops.
There are speciality restaurants in the hotel, but we never used them during our stay.
The food in the main restaurant was excellent, well presented and hot, with several items cooked on request. I loved the omelette at breakfast.
Afternoon and evening meals mainly consisted of the same type of food with some variation and additions. One thing to point out though, men are requested to wear long trousers for the evening meal. Shorts etc are acceptable at breakfast and lunch.
The beach is just a few minutes walk away. Large seating area and loads of sun beds. Lunch is served there during the day.
The beach is clean and very sandy, the sea is shallow and warmer than the pool.
The WiFi is excellent here and does reach the beach as well with no buffering.
Entertainment
Nothing we could see during the day as we were out of season and the night was the usual holiday offerings.
As the hotel guests were predominantly German during our stay, the hotel catered for their needs mostly. I lost count of the amount of times I was greeted with “Guten Morgen”. It wasn’t an issue for us and we did play bingo one night!
Staff
I don’t think we've stayed in a hotel previously were the staff have been so polite, smart and attentive. The waiters dressed like they were at a wedding, not working there but as guests as they were that smart.
You could sit anywhere in this hotel and within a minute a member of staff would be waiting to serve you. There was not one member of staff that disappointed us and I wish I could name them all but I can't.
However, three waiters went above board to help us and interact with us more making our stay even better, Cena, Cezma & Mustapha thank you so much. I hope you all get to see this review or at least someone tells you about it.
In summary, we really enjoyed our stay here, lovely hotel, brilliant staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel and the only regret is we never went in peak season."
