Nabeul Holidays

Pottery, palms, and easy beach days

Nabeul sits on Tunisia’s Cap Bon peninsula and feels like a classic seaside town with a local twist. There’s a long sandy coastline, rows of palm trees and a laid-back, holiday pace – but also a proper working town behind the beach.

Start in the medina and famous weekly market, where stalls are piled high with colourful ceramics, woven baskets, spices and citrus fruit. Nabeul is pottery central, so it’s the place to haggle for bowls and tiles you’ll end up hand luggage-cradling home.

Down by the sea, life slows even further. Spend lazy days on the sand, paddle in the surprisingly warm Med, or stroll the promenade with an ice cream or mint tea in hand. Boat trips and nearby beach clubs, meanwhile, add a bit of buzz when you want it.

You’ll be well placed for little adventures, too. Explore more of Cap Bon’s coastline, visit neighbouring Hammamet, or head inland to discover sleepy villages and citrus groves. Food-wise, think grilled fish straight off the boats, brik pastries, couscous, salads, and fresh oranges for dessert. If you like your beach breaks sunny, simple and properly local, Nabeul quietly nails it. It’s the kind of place you leave with sand in your shoes, pottery in your hand luggage, and half a plan to come back next year.
