"We went on a rail journey and the hotel could not have been closer to the station.The reception was warm and helpful ,speaking good English.The room was lovely,warm and spacious - overlooking the road but we couldn't hear any traffic.We arrived quite late but found the bar very useful with a superb tarte au tatin helping to sate our appetite. Breakfast very good with hot scrambled eggs and sausages ,fruit and cereal .Would stay again"

"The Hotel is a short journey via the railway and very cheap, the walk to the hotel is also a very short walk. Check in at the hotel was easy, our room number was 55, this was outside of the hotel with a brief walk to a door which has the name of the hotel on it and next to a laundry. Room #55 is on the the 5th floor, the lift only goes to the 4th floor and then it's a short set of the stairs to several rooms. The room itself is quite large with a kitchenette, double bed and a put me up bed. Our first problem was the bath/shower combination, we had originally requested a room with shower only. We went back down to reception to see if we could change rooms but were told there were no other rooms available. Geneva was having a hot spell and the room was very hot but does come with a very noisy A/C which did it's best, the room does have two windows that open but when open the noise from outside can get very loud at times. The 2nd problem that we had was the lack of sockets to charge phones etc... The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the fridge in the kitchenette was invaluable and bottled was was supplied by the hotel which was also most welcome. Breakfast was served in the main hotel and once we go to know our way around was a good start to the day. The location of the hotel is the main winning point as you can get down to the lake within 15 minutes and the train station within 2 minutes which makes it a great base."
