"Text: This hotel is marketed as 5★, but the reality falls well short of that standard. On arrival there was no help with luggage, no welcome, and no welcome drink – which you would expect as a basic courtesy at this level. First impressions matter, and this one was poor. The weather during our stay was atrocious, which is obviously not the hotel’s fault. However, when you’re stuck indoors, you quickly notice the shortcomings. The only place to get a drink is a dark, basement bar that feels like a dungeon – hardly relaxing or inviting, and certainly not what you expect from a luxury resort. What makes this worse is that there is no entertainment anywhere in the hotel. No live music, no evening shows, nothing to create any atmosphere at all. For a resort of this size and supposed rating, the hotel feels lifeless once the sun goes down. The real kicker, though, is the gym. After paying premium prices, being told you cannot use the gym unless you pay extra is frankly unacceptable for a so-called 5★ hotel. This should be included as standard, or at the very least made crystal clear before booking. To make matters worse, management and guest services were completely unhelpful when raising concerns. No ownership, no attempt to resolve issues, and no sense that guest experience actually matters. Overall, this hotel is overpriced, underwhelming, and nowhere near 5★ quality. We will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone expecting a premium experience."

"This hotel is the best hotel I have stayed at in Tenerife the attention to detail is something I had not seen before. although it was only reopened after a refit last year - plugs in the rooms cater for USB b & c charging - Cleaners great - lifts quick enough of them an very little waiting - we were Bed & Breakfast , and Breakfast catered for everyone even some I had seen before"

"We visited the Mediterranean Palace in May 2025 for 6 nights, staying all inclusive with our 18-month-old toddler. The location is excellent, right on Avenue las Américas, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The airport transfer is short, but we chose a private transfer as coach drop-offs involve a short walk down the road (the coach can’t get into the car park), which wouldn’t have been ideal with a pushchair and luggage. The hotel is beautifully renovated. We stayed in a suite, which was modern, spacious and clean. We opted for a suite as we were concerned the standard rooms would be too small with a cot in as well. Lovely family touches included a teddy bear in the cot and a kids’ toiletries box with colourful towels. The kids’ club facilities are great. Our little one was too young to be left there, but we were able to take him in to play with us a few times and he really enjoyed it. The pools were good, although inflatables are only allowed in the small children’s pools to the side of the main pool. The splash park was good fun for our toddler, but the ground around it is quite hard and slippery when wet - unfortunately our toddler did slip and fall, which is something to be aware of. The buffet restaurant was very good, with live cooking stations that our toddler loved. However, allergens weren’t labelled at all, and as someone with a gluten allergy I had to ask the chef each time. He was really helpful and recognised me each time, but it was frustrating to have to ask all the time, especially when compared to other hotels that clearly label allergens or have dedicated gluten-free areas. The à la carte restaurants were disappointing - extra charges at the Smoke House and very limited gluten-free options at the Italian. The evening entertainment was enjoyable but felt a bit repetitive, even during our relatively short stay. Overall, we would recommend the hotel, especially for families with young children, thanks to the location, facilities and room quality. If we returned, we’d probably mix up dining options and eat out as well, as there are so many great restaurants nearby."
