Close-to-everything Tenerife getaway
The Mediterranean Palace has hit the jackpot when it comes to location. You’ll find it in a great spot in Playa De Las Americas, which means everything from shops and restaurants to bars and eateries are within easy reach. Plus, it comes with direct access to the beachfront promenade and the sands of Playa del Camisón.
Back at the hotel, days revolve around the plus-sized pool. It’s set into a spacious sun terrace topped with loungers, and there’s a shallow area sectioned off for little ones to splash in. Both pools are heated all year round, making them ideal whatever the season. There’s a poolside bar on standby for drinks and snacks – and refreshing ice creams if you're so inclined – during your sunbathing sessions, too. The hotel is also well suited to guests with accessibility needs, with adapted rooms available and a lift providing access into the pool.
Main meals, meanwhile, come courtesy of the buffet restaurant – expect international cuisine dished out from themed stations which you can enjoy indoors or out on the al fresco terrace. Then there's a pair of themed restaurants that open their doors in the evenings; the first makes meat the star of the menu, dealing in grilled dishes with a great wine list to match. Head over to the Italian joint, meanwhile, and you can tuck into freshly prepared classics that are packed full of authentic Italian flavours.
Fancy a change of scenery? Head over to Palapa Beach Club – there’s a menu for lunch and dinner. For drinks, choose from four watering holes, including one on the terrace which hosts nightly shows in the summer time, a sports bar where you can catch a game or two, and a sophisticated spot that's perfect for an aperitif before your evening meal.
If you’re not one to stretch out on a sun lounger all day long, you’ll be pleased to hear about the hotel’s activity programme. You can get involved with everything from aqua aerobics and table tennis to darts and volleyball. There’s also a gym available at an additional charge, and a kids’ club to keep the little ones busy. The Kids Club is particularly impressive – one of the best around – featuring a cinema room, nursing room, soft play area, climbing wall and music room, ensuring plenty to keep younger guests entertained.
Mediterranean Palace is part of a trio of hotels that sit shoulder-to-shoulder on this part of shoreline, and as part of your stay you'll be able to access some of the facilities in the wider resort. Fancy breakfast at Cleopatra Palace? Or maybe an indulgent treatment at a neighbouring spa? The reasons to stay here just keep coming...
Just so you know, certain facilities at neighbouring hotels Sir Anthony and Cleopatra Palace must be booked in advance and charges may apply.
