"Just got back from a 7 day stay at this hotel. There were 6 of us in total, 3 couples, and we stayed in 3 seperate rooms all next to each other on the first floor. We were self catering.
First of all the positives:
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in at around 8pm and it was very quick, no waiting around and the process was easy. We were pleased to all have rooms next to each other and happy to be on the first floor. As we were self catering we did not interact much with the staff, however whenever we bumped into cleaners they always said hello and were friendly, and the receptionists were always more than happy to book our taxis. The hotel had 2 big pools in the middle, and a hidden one out the back. However these were freezing as covered from the sun by the big buildings. We were relatively pleased with our rooms, they were spacious and balconies big and pool facing. Toaster, kettle, pots/pans/cutlery in the room. Worth mentioning you can also pay extra for a safe which we did not do. Always had clean towels provided which was good though see point below about this. Showers by the pool which was handy for our last day so we could shower after checking out (which is 11am by the way) however the shower doors don’t lock so be careful. Plenty of sunbeds, none of the usual fighting for them however people do put towels out and leave all day as expected so be aware. Hotel was in a great location, was easy to travel or walk to local amenities. Lots of storage space in cupboards.
The negatives:
Room wasn’t clean when we came in, the bed covers were stained (as was the mattress we later discovered) and our air con didn’t work. We went to the reception where they changed our remote and it then worked fine which we was happy about. The bathroom light was on a timer which was set off by motion, which was annoying as turned itself on and off when people passed our door at night. Furnishings were basic and the room overall looked very cheap. Shower door didn’t completely cover the shower, so water ran all over the floor every time we used it. Bed was extremely hard, and no duvet! Always had a thin duvet when abroad so very surprised to have just a sheet. Got a bit cold at night if you leave air con on! And stuffy without it. Woke up with a sore back every day.
There were no cleaning products such as a dust pan and brush or even fairy liquid, which made it hard for us to keep the room clean ourselves though we did manage. We did put a do not disturb sign on the door most days as usually I don’t like having anyone enter our room when we are away, however the cleaners seem to bypass this and come in anyway to change towels, which was actually a godsend however not really the point of a do not disturb sign. just be wary they will still enter despite this so lock any valuables away. The hotel is very loud, in the day and night. Loud music playing all day until about 12am, and lots of people screaming and shouting at all hours.
I read the reviews before we came so I knew what to expect with the hotel however would say that the value for money isn’t really there. It is definitely a 3 star hotel. Have stayed in far better 4 star hotels all inclusive for not much more money. So keep that in mind.
Overall felt relatively safe and still had a lovely holiday. Probably wouldn’t not return based on the facts above but did not take away from the experience never the less."
