Aguamar Hotel

"We booked this hotel for my 40th birthday — it was one of the cheaper options but looked the nicest within our budget. I emailed ahead hoping for a birthday gesture, but nothing was offered. Check-in was smooth and staff were lovely. The room was basic but clean, with a well-equipped kitchen (though no sweeping brush). Sand from the beach lingered until day 5 when cleaners finally swept. No aircon, and the bedroom was too hot despite the ceiling fan. The pool hours were limited by a grumpy lifeguard, though he had valid complaints about guests reserving unused sunbeds. Parking was easy, and the location was quiet but close to bars and restaurants. Overall, a decent stay for the price."

"After reading various reviews was a little dubious but didn’t need to be as these apartments are very good exceptionally clean staff very friendly at helpful. No issue with pool attendant as previously mentioned and as for the smell of weed non existent! Walk to beach about 10 mins with a variety of restaurants and shoes. Supermarket about 3/4 mins with walk from apartment and a further beach about 20 min walk more lively with loads of restaurants and a lovely big Zara! Overall good. Stay and would go back again. Just to be clear there is no entertainment at night or activities round the pool so very quiet which was good for me! Plenty of places for entertainment should you want it ie hotel next door HG Tenerife had a singer every night."
