"I’ve stayed in a LOT of hotels in my time both for Business and Holidaying and this it right up there in the best of the lot category. It is a 5 star hotel and deserves to be too. The welcome/checking – very friendly Staff – attentive and always smiling Rooms - very nice Food – 1st class Cleanness – perfect. Location - Ideal The only thing that was not perfect is the pools were a little chilly. But in their defence the hotel had been closed all summer for refurbishment and was only re-opened at the beginning of October and for pools to get warm it take a bit of time. Well done GF a great flag ship to your collection."

"The hotel isn’t finished and we were not sold this is a soft opening. We were told everything was ready except the spa. Upon arrival we were looked up and down and told our room wasn’t ready. We’d get a call when it was, which was meant to be an hour later. Nobody rang. We got to our room which was actually ok. Except no fan in the bathroom and the shower has no door so just floods the floor every time. This is the design?! We tried to get the air conditioning working and it did for a bit and then it failed. We then got offered another room but it had the same issues. When lying round the pool there was constant building work going on and it was loud! Complained and got a free lunch! How lucky we were!!!! This noise carried on all week. Then the toilets by the pool had no taps working, the men’s started flooding and despite multiple reports to reception, nothing was done. In fact it got worse! The men’s were flooded and still open. In flooding there were buckets scattered all over the hotel! The entertainment was lack lustre at best. Service was mostly slow and needed pushing to get drinks at any time of day. Not sure why this opened, when it was clearly not ready. Paid a lot and got a shambles of a service. Have emailed the hotel who said sorry. Which doesn’t quite cut it when you’ve spent £££££ for a nice holiday. Have stayed in GF Hotels before never experienced anything like the week we had. Will not be returning here!"

"We booked a 7-night stay at GF Gran Costa Adeje from 24–31 October 2025, hoping to treat ourselves with a bit of luxury. We don’t usually opt for 5-star hotels, but the photos looked fabulous and the hotel was under renovation when we booked, so we gritted our teeth and spent the money for two adults and one child. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt it was important to be honest about our experience. 🌟 Pros: • Impressive on arrival: The hotel is huge, spotless, and the scent in the lobby was divine. • Room 329 – Mountain View: Spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained daily. The view was a lovely surprise. • Air conditioning: Worked almost too well—we had to turn it off most nights because the room got so cold! • Beds and sleep quality: Beds were very comfortable, and the room was quiet—we couldn’t hear any outside noise. • Water slides: A big hit with our 10-year-old. • Sunbeds: Always plenty available, even in the afternoon. • Friendly staff: Most were warm and welcoming. • Breakfast buffet: Great variety—especially loved the fresh omelettes. • Pool areas: Two pools to choose from, both visually appealing. • Location: The area was nice, with a few shopping centres nearby and just down the hill. ⚠️ Cons: • Delayed check-in: Waited 2.5 hours for our room. Understandable given the 2pm check-in policy, but we weren’t offered a space to change or freshen up. • All-Inclusive disappointment: Very limited cocktail options. We’ve had local-only AI before, but this felt like a downgrade. Not worth the premium we paid. • Poor snack quality: The burger and hotdog at the pool bar were awful—cold, stale, and far below 5-star standards. • Repetitive buffet: Lunch and dinner lacked variety—mostly different styles of potato. • Table cleared mid-meal: On our second night, we returned from getting seconds to find our table cleared and drinks gone. • Dirty lower pool: Visible debris floating in the water—off-putting and not what you’d expect from a 5-star. • Children’s entertainment: Geared toward toddlers. Nothing engaging for older kids during the day, though the evening games room was a nice touch. • Missing room essentials: No bottled water, tea, coffee, or milk on arrival. We had to chase this, and it wasn’t replenished daily. Eventually bought our own. • Bathroom flooding: Shower caused flooding despite using a bath mat. 🧳 Final Thoughts: I joined the hotel’s Facebook group and saw glowing reviews from repeat guests, but sadly, our experience didn’t match the hype. For the price, we expected a touch more luxury and attention to detail. In truth, we’ve had better service and inclusions at 4-star hotels. This felt like a 4-star at best—and not one we’d return to. Suggestions for improvement: A clearly defined All-Inclusive package should be listed on holiday websites to manage expectations. Snack quality needs serious attention, and daytime entertainment should be more inclusive for older children."
