Sagitario Princesa Playa Apartments

"We really enjoyed this hotel, it had a couple of issues, but generally was very nice. When we first got there our room had a strong damp small, which is presumably because it hadn't been used for a few days. We managed to get a replacement room which took quite a while to do, but it smelt fresh and clean. The rooms were spacious, a large comfortable bed, a small kitchen area, including a big fridge, and microwave. We had a garden view which was not that interesting and was mostly a big tree, but that's what we booked. The cleaners did a good job every day. The pool area was nice and spacious, clean, there was plenty of sunbeds ,and they are pretty comfortable. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was large and we never had a problem getting a table, but you had to wait a short while for outside seating. The food was good with a varied selection. The only complaint in there was the lighting was too bright in the evenings and made the place feel like a canteen. Slightly dimmer lights would be better. The hotel is about a 15 minute walt to the marina or 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. All in all a great stay and we would definitely stay there again if we are in the area."

"Not long returned from our second wonderful visit this year to the Princesa. We also has a lovely 3 week stay at the Princesa in June/July. The Princesa feels like our second home. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. We prefer to stay self catering as we like to explore the different restaurants around the Marina which is just 10 minutes walk away or the restaurants by the beach in Son Xoriguer itself which is just a 2 minute walk out of the back gate. However, after talking to many of the other hotel guests I know that the food served in the hotel is excellent with plenty of choice and we did eat in the hotel pool bar some lunchtimes which was lovely. We stayed in our usual apartment which was perfect and the cleaning by Monica was faultless. There are always plenty of sun beds available around the pool and day time activities i.e. aquafit, petanque, table tennis etc provided by Silvina and her team for people to take part in if they so wish. We met several people from previous visits and it's always lovely to meet both old and new friends. I've lost count of the number of times my wife and I have stayed at the Princesa over the last 11 or so years and we are already looking to book are next trip there. Can't wait to return next year."

"Negatives-Checkin at reception was very slow. We were given a one bed apartment on the ground floor, 304. It had a garden view which was pretty. On opening the door an overpowering stench of damp greeted us. As we were staying just 4 nights we thought we would just open up the doors and let fresh air in. (Big mistake) It didn't really make a lot of difference. A good mattress tho helped with sleeping. The overall apartment was basic. We asked for it to be cleaned but all that was done was the bed made and a change of towels. A table and 2 very uncomfortable chairs were on the terrace. 3 huge dollops of pigeon poo on the terrace which was never cleaned off during our stay. The good - pleasant gardens and a nice pool area with background music, also a nice poolside bar for drinks and food. My one meal (French omelette) was very small with a few cold fries. My other the beefburger was good with hot wedges."
