"This was my second stay, having spent the same week here i 2024. This time I stayed for 2 weeks. The staff and the food were wonderful. However, I felt that their needs to be a modicum of investment made in the fabric of the place in the close season. Upon arrival, I could not get into my room, which was eventually solved by a maintainance man shoulder barging it open, followed by a few hefty whacks on the mortice with a hammer. There had obviously been an issue with this prevlously as some of the venner on the door had been broken off. I also had a problem with the plug in the bathroom sink not closing properly, meaning that it was impossible to hold water in the sink. I did report this, but the issue was never sorted. I also noticed a lot of either cracked or chipped floor tiles around the hotel. The most glaring thing was the state of the carpet in the entrance lobby towards the lift. It was very dirty, and had obviously not been cleaned for weeks. I appreciate it was the end of the season, but, as I stated, Iwas theree at the same time last year and there was no problem then. I would also suggest that the hotel exterior could do with a lick of paint to enhance the kerb appeal. It presently gives off the air of faded glories, and in fact some people I got in conversation with outside the hotel commented on it's tired look. Having said all that, I would return again as the good well outweighs the bad, but it would be good if the bad were eliminated."

"Just got back from our 2nd stay this year we stayed in June and enjoyed it so much we decided to go again. From the moment we checked in we felt right at home the hotel and staff are amazing food brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the hotel we would definitely recommend this hotel can't wait to go again next year"
