"We had a 7 night all inclusive holiday stay at Ereza Los Hibiscos, Puerto Del Carmen from 3rd Jan to 10th Jan 2026, on arrival at reception we was met by the reception staff member she was very polite and explained in detail the all inclusive details where our room was and the resteraunt times etc, only problem from reception was they only issued one key for the room with an attached plastic key ring for all inclusive entry which caused problems all the time, wifi wasnt free and niether was the safe deposit box (so didnt bother with either), but come on this is 2026 get with the times wifi and safe deposit boxes should be free these days 😕, on entering our room we was pleased how big it was and the great sea view the room had, so first impression was very very good, we started to unpack but on entering the bathroom I was met by a massive cockroach in the shower 😬 that obviously came fowl to my size 8 inch shoes but not a nice welcome at all 😞, the room itself had a kitchen comprising various cutlery items, a microwave, a toaster (that had crumbs in it from god knows when ), a kettle, (that still had water in it) a fridge freezer and a hob, but for some reason the kitchen only had one plug socket 😬 but hey we was all inclusive so wasn't gonna be doing any cooking anyway but thats not the point 🤔, the living room had a large TV, and a large couch, the bedroom had a double bed large wardrobe with 2 bed side tables and the bathroom was very modern with a large modern double shower (and a large cockroach 😂) and although some bits where a bit dated it did need freshing up, though we felt for what we had paid in £1,250 for a week for 2 adults all inclusive it was a reasonable price for a reasonable 3 star hotel, bar area was clean well presented as was the pool area and grounds, staff where polite and very friendly, now the resteraunt which id personally descibe as looking more like a "works canteen" than a resteraunt was very poor, food was cold or luke warm most of the time and had to warmed up in the microwave 😢, on our first morning a guy was cooking omelette's to order which was a nice touch, the next 6 days he was there so that was a let down, and that was a bit like some of the meals, it was like they'd opened the freezer and threw together the end of year stock as it was very miss mash at times 🙈 so we wasn't impressed with the food at all, the table legs hadnt been cleaned for ages they was appalling and the cleaning up that i witnessed wasnt good at all🙃, rooms where supposed to be cleaned every other day and on the days they wasn't, fresh towels and toilet roll should have been left but that never happened so the cleaning routine was also hit and miss and very very poor and that was quite obvious when I dropped a euro near the bed , looked under the bed and it had clearly not been cleaned for a while there infact there was a dead cockroach 😞😞, i pointed this out to the cleaner next day who did remove it, but I felt that it was disgusting that under the bed hadn't been cleaned prior to us arriving 🙈 other picky things where that the lights on the landing at night time lit up on switch and timer like a floodlight and even though the bedroom had blackout curtains it still shone through the sides and woke you up when people were returning back from the bars late at night, finally after the 4th day i contracted a projectile vomiting bug and diarrhoea and according to the staff a lot of guests in the hotel had similar bugs (though this clearly wasnt advertised by the hotel or the holiday companies), my wife got the same bug on our last day, my brother in law caught it two days prior to me and some friends who also had stomach and sick issues where also ill, I can only put this down to the cleanliness and poor hygiene, so finally a few positive things to take forward, but the cleanliness, hygiene and food presentation was very very poor and I can only put this down to why there was a sick bug going around, the Hotel has recently been down graded to 2 star so we was told (not 100% sure if thats true) as such if it is true it needs to make a big big effort to gain my respect on returning again after what id say was a poor hotel in comparison to others ive stayed at in Puerto Del Carmen"
