"We had a great week at Blue Bay. If you’ve booked and you’re worried about some of the reviews, don’t be… Yes, it is dated and could do with some accommodation modernisation but this really didn’t bother us. The room, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, was huge with two bathrooms and lovely balcony looking over the pool and the sea. Accommodation was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. The pool was great, as the hotel is really quiet there is no rush to grab a sun lounger. The on-site shop is well stocked if you’re self catering although there are two supermarkets just done the road (5 mins) walk. Reception staff were amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble, really excellent and refreshing levels of customer service. Bar was well priced and welcoming, two happy hour sessions each day!! The resort itself is very quiet, this suited us on some days but with 3 children we decided to explore a bit using the local buses. Buses in GC are excellent, regular and cheap. We explored maspalomas, Amadores beach near Puerto rico, and anti beach. All well worth a visit if you want more shops, restaurants, bars and people. In summary, a brilliant family holiday in the sun for a very good price!"

"We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were very well presented and clean, and were regularly serviced. I don't know if some of the hotel has undergone refurbishment, but ours was like a showroom. The hottub on the balcony was an added surprise. The food was OK, there was something that satisfied everyone each day. Breakfast was a little repetitive and the servers were very stretched, but did the best they could. The grounds were very smart and well cared for. Pool needs a little attention to detail with some tiles now missing and a couple of sharp edges. Bar area was fine and the evening entertainment on the lower side compared to other hotels we stayed in. Mini-disco doesn't operate on 2 nights per week, and then didn't happen on a third which was disappointing. Kids club also very sporadic on when it was operating. Biggest issue was the 'lifeguard'/DJ, rather rude and dismissive, stomping round the place. Choice of songs needs addressing as a number had expletives in, being blared around at the poolside. Was nicer when there was no music on his days off."
