"This was my 4th visit to this hotel and my second since the new management. My last trip was July 2023. Quite surprised by some of the negative review posted recently which was not my experience. I am a regular visitor to 5* hotels over the last thirty years and one of my pet hates is hotels who say they are 5* but are clearly not. This is a genuine 5* hotel with impressive facilities including a large spacious foyer/reception, nice bars and restaurants and well kept ground and pool areas. We had a suite with a side sea view which was fine. A special mention to the staff who were fantastic but particularly on New Years Evening with a splendid buffet with a wide choice of quality food, great entertainment in the bar plus fireworks and a disco so overall a very impressive evening. Shame that some guests made no effort to dress for the occasion (sign of the times) but there were enough of us in Black tie to match the event. The only suggestion I would make and compared to other 5* hotels is to have a dedicated Concierge team to assist with bags and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel whether checking in or not, this to me was a noticeable shortcoming. Also the cleaning staff knocking on our door before the check out time was not a good look for the hotel. These niggles aside I would recommend the hotel and resort to anybody looking for winter sun."

"Having just returned from this hotel after staying for one week over Christmas all I can say is that it certainly lived up to our expectations. There are several aspects that made our stay exceptional 1. The staff , from the moment we arrived the front of house and reception were so incredibly welcoming. As we had a car they informed us of the underground carpark which was really useful. The entertainment in the bar/lounge each evening was excellent and the staff were always on hand for drinks. Really nice staff and so good at their jobs. Staff in restaurant were equally as good and the 2 lovely ladies that always welcomed us for dinner and breakfast. The cleaning staff also d9ne an exceptional job. 2. Location, having read some reviews about it being remote i was a little concerned about this. However the Location for me was a huge positive as the walk along the beach taking about 30 minutes was one of the most amazing shoreline walks. It is a mixture of sand and boardwalk so a reasonable level of mobility is required. 3. The Spa.,Although i am not a big spa fan the spa here was included and one of the best I have seen. My wife loved the spa. We hired a car from autorizen (excellent service)and that was great for touring about and excellentservice. We visited Betancuria and la Olivia. Both with a visit. We went to music square which is definitely worth a visit. Other aspects of hotel was the availability of pool loungers and towels. The fabulous gala dinner on Christmas night was excellent and staff incredible. "
