"Myself, my husband and 12 year old visited this hotel from 19th October - 26th October 2025. We are NOT fussy at all, and will regularly stay in 2-3 star hotels. We’ve had experiences of all kind of stars, but find lower star hotels seem to have the best atmosphere and we always have a great experience. This hotel is absolutely no where near a 4 star.
The food was the worst part of our visit. It was just disgusting. My husband and son are fussy and do tend to lean towards chicken nuggets, chips, sausages etc at home.. they couldn’t even eat the chips they were that cold every single day. I really struggled and I will literally eat anything! Queues at the microwaves to warm up your food was the biggest sign something was wrong as soon as we saw the dining area. It was constantly freezing cold, and we weren’t the only ones that were experiencing this.
There’s ridiculous queues to get into the dining area, and then queues again at the actual food bar. You end up being stood in queues for 20 minutes before you even get to sit down and eat your food. The place just seems way too small for the amount of guests at the hotel.
Breakfast was ok, it’s probably the easiest thing to get right. But still not great. It was a nightmare even finding a clean glass in the place for a drink, and we regularly were unable to have a drink with our breakfast. We never mentioned this to any staff or asked for one as they would literally avoid you knowing what a state the place was in. Not once did a waiter or waitress even speak to us or greet us.. not even when they were seating us. They looked absolutely rushed off their feet, and there were dirty plates and cups piled on the tables. Maybe if there was more staff, there’d be enough people to do their job so that there’s places to actually sit at, which will in turn mean the queues to get into the dining area are shorter and don’t take as long!
I honestly can’t even explain how bad the whole dining experience is. One positive is we never got ill from what we did eat, which seems lucky taking into account some of the other reviews on here.
We ended up resorting to eating out after about 3 days of trying the food. We hoped it was just an ‘off’ day but unfortunately, it wasn’t the case. I’m actually quite confused by any reviews that state the food is good. This meant we ended up spending about €400-€500 extra on food and snacks.
The bar had absolutely no atmosphere, it was just boring - no music or anything. Again, ridiculous queues and way understaffed. We actually didn’t even get greeted at the bar either until our final day when a staff member said ‘Hi I’m Angel’ as we were having our final drink! So thank you Angel for being our first and only positive experience with a member of staff at the hotel.
Talking of staff members, when we first arrived at the hotel we were stood face to face with a lady at reception who completely ignored us for about 10 minutes while she was typing away on the computer! We understand that people have work to do, and simple ‘Hi, I’ll be with you soon’ would’ve sufficed, but the complete ignorance while she tried not to look up and make eye contact with us was ridiculous.
The lifts… THE LIFTS ARE SO BAD! I’ve never had a complaint about lifts in my life, and never thought it would’ve been such a problem but this was just on another level. Again, it’s just another added on problem especially when you’re having to consistently queue for them, it comes back to your floor and the same persons still in it that got in in the first place because it just takes you up and down constantly. It just adds on to how much you have to wait around in the hotel. And when you’re in them, they are soooo ridiculously slow, especially when you were staying on the top floor like us. Yes, taking the stairs would’ve been quicker if you can but it wasn’t possible in our circumstances.
We didn’t spend much time around the pool as it’s not really in a great location for getting much sun. The atmosphere was okay once they eventually put some music on, but the sun beds are pretty dirty and very uncomfortable unless you’re one of the lucky ones that managed to grab a fabric one instead of plastic. I’d definitely recommended upgrading the plastic ones to all be fabric ones, considering it’s supposed to be a 4 star hotel it’d definitely aid the guests comfort when a lot of us go on holiday to lounge around the pool all day.
It does baffle me how this hotel copes in the busier summer season and when it’s at full capacity. It’s something we actually talked about with other people who were having a similar experience at the same hotel in a bar around the corner. It’s obvious they must have more staff during the summer, but when you know it’s the week before typical UK school holidays, and that this week and the next would be super busy, you’d think they’d prepare for it.
Now, enough about the negatives. There were some positives that I’d like to mention.
The rooms were INCREDIBLY clean and well looked after. Our room was cleaned and beds made every single day of our stay so hats off to the cleaners! They were amazing. We were constantly stocked up on toilet roll and fresh towels too.
The mattress was so comfortable that I’ve actually come home and realised I hate my own bed! 😂 I had a great nights sleep every single night and felt fully refreshed in the morning. The walls are a little thin and you can hear your neighbours and if you’re situated towards the front of the hotel overlooking the football pitch and outdoor seating area you will definitely hear some noise from the kids playing and adults drinking outside. But, this didn’t bother us as people go on holiday to enjoy themselves! So not a problem with this at all. But if it bothers you, I’d maybe ask for a room on the other side of the hotel overlooking the pool.
The location is fantastic, and is really close to some great bars and restaurants. The beach is a 7-10 minute walk away and we just loved it.
We had theme park tickets included in the price we paid, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service there and back which was also good. I just wish there was more information about where you get the shuttle back, as there were literally around 100 of us not knowing if it was at the same stop as we got off or the one across the road in the opposite direction; and there’s no info about this. We asked numerous bus drivers who told us the opposite side of the road, turns out it was the same stop. Probably something I should’ve checked before leaving but I just expected there to be some more information about this at the actual stop! But we got back eventually.
I’d say this hotel is really geared towards catering for families with small children. The entertainment is mostly based on experiences for young children, and they regularly have Sesame Street character visits. We saw a 2 year old literally scream with excitement at seeing Elmo as she walked through the door and it was the cutest thing ever 🥹
There’s a football pitch too, with a ping pong table outside. Lots of kids played here through the day and all night, including our son who made some friends here. It was just a nice atmosphere for the kids.
I would only stay here again as a ‘base’ if we decided to come self catering instead of all inclusive. It was a really comfortable, clean room, and close to a supermarket, bars and restaurants. So I’d be happy to sleep here, but nothing else. I definitely wouldn’t stay all inclusive again.
Just as a final note, on our last day we had to check out at 11am and we were being picked up at 6pm. We didn’t arrive until late at night on our first day, and just made it in time for tea so we assumed we’d be able to still have a meal at the hotel on our final day. We went up to the restaurant to see what was on for dinner as we were a bit short on money for eating out at this point due to having to eat out unexpectedly - but they wouldn’t let us in and continue to use the all inclusive. I haven’t experienced this before in a hotel, and was quite shocked when we were turned away. Just something to be aware of if you have a late flight and expect it to be like most other all inclusives where you can still continue to use it all day until you leave!
They also don’t have a free luggage room; and you have to pay €6 per locker to put your suitcase into. It just seems to be a money grab at every opportunity. But, it is a hotel run by a theme park - and we know how much they love to overcharge!
If you decide to stay here, I sincerely hope that you do have a better experience than us. Again, I would stay here again just for the room and will probably do so in the future. When we do return, I’d really love to see some improvements to the hotel so that we can eat our words and turn our experience around!"
