"At first, the hotel seems truly charming — a beautiful old building with modern comforts and lots of character. I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the hotel turns into a party venue almost every evening. The noise from weddings and other private events makes it impossible to relax, with loud music blasting from the late afternoon until well into the night. These parties take place right inside the hotel, often in the ballroom just below the rooms or in the garden — closed off to hotel guests — and when they finally end (around 2 a.m., if you’re lucky), noisy revellers who aren’t even staying there roam the corridors laughing and talking loudly. The staff is dismissive and clearly tired of hearing complaints about the noise. It feels like management cares far more about private events than about their hotel guests. It’s a real shame — this could be a wonderful place, but they should not open the hotel to the public while hosting private parties. Until that changes, it’s impossible to enjoy a stay here."
