Evolution Lisboa Hotel

"I thought it was a very nice hotel, though not necessarily my type of hotel. The aesthetic is futuristic modern, sort of like a Star Wars movie stage. Stepping out of the elevator onto the floor of our room, you’re struck by the red glow of the hallway lights. Then into our room, the shower and toilet stalls are like “beam-me-up-Scotty” pods. And there’s no privacy to the bathroom area, as just a see-through curtain separates the bathroom from the bedroom. I couldn’t figure out the A/C, the wifi was strong, and the breakfast buffet was good. The room price was reasonable, and the hotel gifted us a bottle of wine. If I was 20 years younger, I’d give the place 5 stars. But I’m now in my 60s, so I’m just going to give it 4 stars."

"Hotel Evolution was the first stop on our long tour of this beautiful country! It is in the Saldhana area of the city - perfect location near shops, great restaurants and fun city vibes without frenetically heavy tourists feel. The rooms were spacious and clean and staff- extremely helpful. Convenient fitness Ctr. Excellent value for the price as well. We highly recommend."

"Cool hotel, clean, comfy, good breakfast. But the surcharges applied to services are absolutely not ok. 166 Euro for laundry that cost 60 Euro, they left the laundry receipt on by mistake. 280 Euro for a three hour TuTuk tour that costs 180 Euro absolute maximum if booked direct. My mistake to use their services, they did communicate the prices, however I do expect a certain level of fairness and I didn’t have the time to research. The laundry bill was the most expensive I have ever seen, even in Paris or London. I will not recommend or return to that hotel or that brand. Nobody likes to be ripped off. However, that was the only negative thing about Lisbon. Great city."
