Laguna Resort - Vilamoura

"I will just echo many of the other reviews – this is a lovely place in a good location, the bar/cafe puts on a good breakfast and has enough choice to keep the family happy for another meal or two and the front of house is fantastic. Ubers are cheap and plentiful, but a walk to the marina is pleasant enough too – there's a great crossfit gym about 25mins walk away if that's your thing. I would happily revisit."

"First time staying in this resort and we would definitely return. We stayed in a 3 bedroom town house. Great space, large kitchen, 4 bathrooms and nice outside area. Pool area nice and plenty of loungers Bar/restaurant perfect for breakfast and lunch by the pool or overlooking the golf course. Staff very friendly. They also do a great buffet breakfast for €14 Pingo Doce supermarket great for a stick up and only €5 in a taxi, same to the marina. Housekeeping most days which is great for self catering Pool towels provided and nespresso machine in kitchen We also walked to the marina and it took around 25 mins Resort has a very relaxing friendly feel to it"

"This is an excellent place to stay. It’s mainly a self catering concern so we used Uber Eats to get a delivery of necessities to our villa. It might be an idea to stock some basics such as milk, bread, juice, cereals and fruit for guests to buy in the reception area. The food is basic enough so we relied on Uber Eats for takeaways or we ate away from the resort. The bar is excellent and the staff so helpful. It was also very useful that reception had a WhatsApp that we could use if we needed anything. The villa we stayed in was large and comfortable. There were two double rooms upstairs and one twin room downstairs. The Wi-Fi was great as was the selection of TV channels. It was nice to have a garden but they are all connected to each other so we didn’t use it a lot. Most people in the villas were quiet but our direct neighbours happened to be very loud and the sound carried through to our villa very clearly so have ear plugs on standby just in case. The roof access was locked but I was quite happy with that. As other reviews mentioned, the wardrobes did smell a bit musty so I brought an air freshener and all was fine. There might be one or two ants around. They quickly disappeared once they realised that we kept all food packed away in cupboards or in the fridge. The staff are happy to help if the ants do become a problem. The whole resort had a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The pool is small but lovely. It is a gated resort so the pool was the perfect size for the amount of guests and sun beds were always available. Any requests we made of staff were met with a helpful attitude and politeness which we appreciated. We explored a lot of the local area by taking Ubers almost every day. It’s so cheap and the drivers are full of advice on where to go. Because the resort is gated and not overcrowded there is a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Everyone just seemed to get along well with each other. I would definitely recommend Laguna to anyone. It’s about 30 minutes away from Faro Airport and it’s in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings. "
