The Vila Gale Albacora occupies a former tuna fishing settlement, where fishermen and their families used to live and work through the summer months. The old houses, workshops, and warehouses have been turned into a charming eco hotel, which offers views over the Ria Formosa Natural Park and is only a 15-minute drive from Faro Airport.
The hotel is just a stone’s throw from the calm and sandy stretches of Praia dos Tesos. If you want to explore further afield, the Vila Gale Albacora operates a bus service around the local area, while a boat taxi departs from the hotel’s pier to the beautiful beaches of Tavira’s Island, which is a few hundred metres off the coast.
