Right in the city centre
Just around the corner from Karl Johans Gate and the Royal Palace, Scandic St. Olavs Plass is a great choice if you want to explore the city on foot without relying on the metro system (although it’s easy to get around this way if you want to explore further afield). The National Theatre and its traditional Theatercaféen are just a short stroll away, and shopping at Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen is just a 15-minute walk away.
When you return from days exploring Oslo, you can dine in the hotel’s restaurant. Or, if you’ve taken advantage of the city’s excellent dining scene, wind up your day with a drink in the hotel’s modern bar. Then, a comfortable room awaits. Economy rooms may be smaller than other hotels you’ve stayed at, but they offer great value, especially if you don’t mind your interior-facing room looking out over the hotel’s atrium. Standard rooms are a little more conventional, and you can size up to larger rooms if you fancy a bit more space.
