Amsterdam Marriott Hotel

"Easy metro access and close to nightlife and bars. The room was comfortable and the Happy Hour was great as well. We were too jet lagged to enjoy the breakfast but the checkout process was quick. We’d stay here again."

"I loved this hotel. The location was very convenient, an easy walk to shopping, restaurants and museums. The two concierges, Erben and Udo, were very friendly and provided a lot of suggestions for fun things to do in the area. They were very helpful to me as a solo traveler. I will definitely stay here again!"

"We chose this hotel for the location and it did not disappoint in that regard. It’s close to the Liedseplein area, which has a good variety of shops, restaurants and bars and felt very safe walking around in the evenings, compared to some other parts of the city. Both Vondelpark and the Rijksmuseum are a couple blocks away and there is a tram stop right outside the hotel. In addition, there is an express airport bus stop close to the hotel, which was a convenient way to get to the airport (we arrived in the city by train). Our stay didn’t start off well, as we arrived at 5:00 pm and our room still wasn’t ready, even though check in is at 3:00pm. They offered us a drink coupon at the bar, which turned out to be only for soft drinks, so that wasn’t much of an apology. We had to wait until 6:00 pm until the room was finally ready, but I will say the room turned out to be very nice in spite of the wait. We had a Junior Suite on the top floor, which had an outside balcony overlooking much of the city. Although it was too cold to sit outside, it had great views and would be wonderful in the summertime. The suite was quite large, with a comfortable king size bed, a small sitting area and a good-sized TV, although not many English channels. Oddly, the bathroom was small in relation to the rest of the room, but the shower was good. Housekeeping was every day and always completed before we returned in the afternoon. They even came back in the evening to check if we needed anything else. The M Club lounge was a pleasant surprise, with better-than-expected food offerings, both at breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres, with beer and wine included. It was busy every time we were there, but we always managed to find a spot. On our last evening, we chose to bring in some other food, so that we could take advantage of their drinks and cutlery. One of the staff came over to chastise us for eating food that wasn’t theirs. If this is their policy, that’s fine, but the situation could have been handled much better. So apart, from a couple of customer service issues, we enjoyed our visit overall and would likely stay here again if we return to Amsterdam."
